I got a late start on this month’s giveaway, but I wasn’t sure what I would giveaway until I visited my local yarn store earlier in the week, and picked up some of this yarn to work on a project. While I was at it, I added two more skeins to giveaway.
I discovered Berroco’s Vintage Yarn about two years ago, and it is one of my favorites. I don’t get to use it as often as I would like because it is $8.50 a skein, compared to $3.99 for Hobby Lobby’s I Love This Yarn, but it is a dream to work with, and produces such a nice, soft project with good drape wears well, AND machine washes and dries beautifully.
Maybe you remember my Ribbed Granny Stitch Cowl? This beauty was crocheted in Berroco’s Vintage Yarn, the Aquae colorway. For Florida winters, this is nice. For windy nights, the wind does goes through it. I do plan on redoing this pattern to make it colder friendlier, but for cool weather it’s great!
I have also used Berroco’s Vintage Yarn for my Vintage Granny Square Hat & Scarf, and these two in same Mushroom of the giveaway yarn. Oohh, this set came out so perfect! FYI, the scarf can be made with two skeins of yarn. *hint, hint 😉
For this month’s giveaway, one winner will receive two skeins of Berroco’s Vintage Yarn, in the Mushroom colorway. Giveaway is sponsored by me, Alexandra of EyeLoveKnots.
