Weekly Dose of EyeLoveKnots Finds – 04.22.19

April 24, 2019

Craft finds including a homemade dog treat recipe, a festive pair of earrings, an embroidery hoop floral wreath DIY, free armwarmer crochet pattern, and free girls sewing pattern.

I have been doing my finds themed (Valentine’s Day, Spring, etc), but I wasn’t sure if I wanted to continue with Spring now that Easter is over, or not, so I just decided to pull finds from the top of my lists in the five categories.

I always love to share awesome patterns, tutorials, and finds with ya! If you would like to see a review on any of them, feel free to drop me a line!

Tasty Find – Homemade Chicken and Wild Rice Dog Treats from A Cultivated Nest:

Yes, my tasty finds are usually for people, but I have had this recipe on my list for a while. Any dog lovers out there? This is an excellent, healthy option to store bought treats. I have a cat, and I don’t think he’d eat these, but perhaps I will bake some, and give to my dog loving friends.

Jewelry/Beauty Find – Harlequin Romance Earrings (Free Jewelry DIY) from Facet Jewelry:

How cool are these festive earrings?! I love the quirky, randomness of these earrings. Perfect for Mardi Gras, or really anytime of the year! They are sure to be a conversation starter, AND, there is a matching necklace DIY available too!

DIY Find – Floral Embroidery Hoop Wreaths (Photo Tutorial) from Craftaholics Anonymous:

Ok, so this tutorial shows how to make a very easy embroidery hoop wreath, but what I fell in love with more than that was the set up. I love the frame behind it – imagine a flea market/thrift store find framing your handmade wreath!

Yarny Find – Vintage Style Arm Warmers with Thumbholes (Free Crochet Pattern) from Whistle & Ivy:

This crochet pattern is a remake of her original Vintage-Inspired Armwarmers which is simply that – arm warmers. This redesign includes includes to make them with armholes so they will be more secure, and cover more of your hands. Either way, gorgeous design – I love the feminine shell edge, not to mention those buttons!

Stitching Find – Girls Stay in Place Turban Towel (Free Sewing Pattern & Photo Tutorial) from Scattered Thoughts of a Crafty Mom:

This turban towel is such a handy make! It’s available in girls sizes, and especially perfect when it’s cold out. I kind of like the idea of this in a gift basket with other similar items for a girls birthday.

I am IN LOVE with the fact that that beautiful wreath is on a window! I can’t wait to go to the flea market to find me one to upcycle.

Your daughter sews? That’s awesome! If she gets a chance, I’d love to hear feedback on the pattern. I would like to make one for my little cousin (my sewing skills are very basic).

Welcome!

Hey! I'm Alexandra, the blogger and creator behind EyeLoveKnots and On Rockwood Lane! My passion is being creative. My favorite thing to do is crochet, and you will almost always find me having a cup of coffee and working on a new crochet project, but when I'm not doing that, you might find me out at a local park rollerblading, baking some fresh cookies, picking veggies in the garden or re-decorating for a new season or holiday. My two cats are great supervisors for all my adventures (minus the being outside because they think it's too hot in Florida to be anywhere but inside), and make sure I take plenty of breaks.
