It’s time again for the Inspire My Creativity Challenge! This is a monthly craft blog hop, and each month, there is a different theme. This month’s theme is STARS. If you have a post that fits that theme, feel free to link up too!
Originally, I was envisioning a banner made up of these stars for the 4th of July, but I didn’t get around to making it in time for holiday decorating, so I decided to just have coasters instead. I have really been toying with the idea of a patriotic themed home lately, so these could be perfect for that too!
If you would like a PDF version of this post, you may get one through either my EyeLoveKnots Etsy Shop, Ravelry or LoveCrafts Shop for a small fee. This fee is to compensate for the views lost when you no longer need to return to the blog to for the information, as you will have your own copy. Plus! It helps fund supplies for new projects to share with you!

- Small Amount of Worsted Weight Cotton Yarn – I used Lily Sugar n Cream in the White, Red and Dazzling Blue colorways
- H8/5mm Crochet Hook
- Tapestry Needle for Weaving in Ends
- Optional, Jewelry Pliers
Jewelry pliers are an excellent tool to use to help weave in ends, as cotton yarn can be quite tough on the fingers when weaving in with just fingers and a tapestry needle.
To make a larger coaster to accomodate a larger mug surface, go up a hook size or two.
About 10 minutes per star
Space for Cup: 2.25″
Total from one point across to another: 4″
So Google doesn’t penalize me for duplicate information, please see my Star Applique Free Crochet Pattern, and use the materials listed in this post.
These are peanut butter covered graham cracker balls I found at my local Walmart – they are AMAZING!
