I don’t know about you, but I’ve had Valentine’s Day on my brain lately!

I always love to share awesome patterns, tutorials, and finds with ya! If you would like to see a review on any of them, feel free to drop me a line!

Tasty Find – Red Velvet Overload Bars Recipe from A baJillian Recipes:

I think this headline explains it all: “Triple the red velvet which means triple the temptation in these Red Velvet Overload Bars!“

Beauty/Jewelry Find – Valentine’s Day Red Blazer (Outfit Idea) from I do deClaire:

This outfit really speaks to me. I love the simplicity of the outfit (right up my alley), though the colors really play well together to give the Valentine’s Day feeling, especially with the added texture of the ruffle top.

DIY Find – Heart String Art DIY from Crafts Unleashed:

This DIY really is incredibly easy to follow, and the free template for the hearts is even included! I have always admired the look of string heart, but always kind of been intimidated by the idea of adding the nails, and randomly stringing. Following the DIY, with a simple wood panel you can find at your local craft store, and a simply pattern of how to string – it really seems like an easy DIY to do, and I love the idea of personalizing it with a name.

Don’t want to mess with embroidery thread hanks? How about trying Red Heart’s Croquette Yarn?

Yarny Find – Puppy Love Infinity Scarf (Free Crochet Pattern) from Whistle and Ivy:

How fun that the stitch pattern of this scarf resembles little hearts! I love the idea of an ombre effect (try Red Heart Ombre if you don’t want to have to change yarn colors), but it would also be really cute in a rainbow colorway, maybe worked in something like Red Heart Super Saver in Preppy Stripe.

Want to make it part of a set? Check out Whistle & Ivy’s Puppy Love Slouch Hat, and Puppy Love Armwarmers.

Stitching Find – Scrappy Valentine’s Day Pincushion DIY from So Sew Easy:

I love the inset created for this pincushion! More so for the dimension, but excellent for using up fabric scraps – especially if you have a few coordinating Valentine-y prints. Outside of Valentine’s Day, this would still be a great make and/or gift using any scraps you have on hand. Would be fun in a rainbow of colors, one solid color, or even an ombre effect!

Welcome!

Welcome!

Hey! I'm Alexandra, the blogger and creator behind EyeLoveKnots and On Rockwood Lane! My passion is being creative. My favorite thing to do is crochet, and you will almost always find me having a cup of coffee and working on a new crochet project, but when I'm not doing that, you might find me out at a local park rollerblading, baking some fresh cookies, picking veggies in the garden or re-decorating for a new season or holiday. My two cats are great supervisors for all my adventures (minus the being outside because they think it's too hot in Florida to be anywhere but inside), and make sure I take plenty of breaks.
