Yarn Fanatic Party #56 – Week 1 – Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Yarn Giveaway

February 29, 2016

Welcome to the 56th Yarn Fanatic Link Party, and my 39th as co-host, alongside Rachel from The Philosopher’s Wife.

I have been so sick this month – I didn’t get but three projects done and only one was for my blog! That terrible sinus cold got me, and for about a week in a half I couldn’t even bring myself to pick up my crochet hook to crochet in bed. Finally, I am feeling better and have started working on the stuff I got behind in. I decided to take the rest of February off (except today) to get my house in order, play catch up and just rest. I wish you all well! Here’s what I’ve worked on since our last party (with newest being last):

Two Tiny Hearts Dangle Earrings – Free Plastic Canvas Pattern & Jewelry DIY
Cross Stitch Heart Earrings – Free Crochet, Cross Stitch & Jewelry DIY
Women’s Ripple Fingerless Gloves – Free Crochet Pattern
Starting this week I will be more active on my EyeLoveKnots Facebook page, and adding a Weekly Dose of EyeLoveKnots Finds segment to my blog. End of December 2014, I had a Daily Dose segment going but it was too much to keep up. I had a lot of fun with it though, and am going to try again.

Starting in April, I will also be hosting weekly/bi-weekly giveaways through the comments section of my EyeLoveKnots Facebook page. It will include a variety of items, so be sure to like the EyeLoveKnots Facebook page so you don’t miss out!

Most Clicked:

From Left to Right:

Blueberry Hill Shawl from Stitches N Scraps – Free Crochet Pattern. This beauty is worked using the lacy and lightweight Solomon Knot Stitch. So many ways to wear this piece, and still show off the beautiful openwork. Bundled up it’s better for the cooler days, and open as a shawl it’s better for the warmer days. Warning: Blocking is critical.
Wool Coat from Ana Love Craft – Knitting Inspiration. What a gorgeous cabled sweater! Of course, I drool over the beauty of knit pieces, but I am also loving the creamy yarn choice over the dark turtleneck. Can’t wait to see the second sweater made from the darker, tweedy yarn!

My Philosopher Favorite:

What a beautiful cardigan Rachel has knitted for her daughter, Catherine. It’s the In Threes Sweater by Kelly Herdich, using the String Theory Hand Dyed Yarn she was given to review (and one of you also received). I think the yarn and pattern look like they fit so well together. I am jealous this pattern isn’t available in adult sizes. This Practically Cardigan is close though.

Call for Sponsors!

Are you a pattern designer – Crochet, knit, plastic canvas, embroidery, latch hook, pom pom crafts, and other yarny crafts… Or do you design yarn related graphics, shirts, buttons, printables, tote bags? Maybe you are a yarn dyer? Or perhaps you have a really large yarn stash and you are looking to do a de-stashing of them? We are in need of giveaway sponsors for the Yarn Fanatic Party! If you are interested in teaming up with Rachel of The Philosopher’s Wife and I to sponsor a giveaway at one of our parties, PLEASE contact either Rachel or I.

Join the Party!

The Yarn Fanatic Party will begin every Monday afternoon, and run through Sunday night. You have all week and weekend to post your fantastic yarn related projects!

Please share projects that are family friendly, and YARN RELATED; ie Crochet, Knit, with an extension to include Cross Stitch, Needlepoint on Plastic Canvas and Embroidery.
Also make sure you are linking up to your blog post, and just just your blog’s home page.
We encourage you to:
