I love fashion. I am not always good at pairing things together, but that comes with research and practice. I want to share fashion more on the blog, and try to incorporate it with my crocheting.
What better fashion post to start with than my 2018 Christmas Outfit?!
Originally, I really wanted the Christmas Alpaca Print Sweatshirt you see above. Being a yarn lover, I love the idea of the alpaca, and I love the polka dots and gold swirls – so fun, and cute! When I had decided on this top, I searched and searched for some white pants that would be good for this sweatshirt, but I was having a tough time settling on a pair – I am so worried about them getting dirty so easy, and/or not being solid, but more see-through. I also searched for some beige pants, but had not luck. Worked out better for me because this color blue doesn’t really look that great on me, or at least, I don’t feel like it does.
Instead, I decided to just order these Brown Almond Toed Chunky Heeled Booties, and then go to Walmart and find an inexpensive, festive shirt I could wear with them, and some jeans.
12/05/19 Update: These boots aren’t available from SheIn, but I found some similar ones… Low Heel Cut Out Buckle Detail with Almond Toe and Block Heel Booties with Round Toe and Split Shaft.
I looked at a lot of tops before I found this one, and it was exactly what I wanted. It’s pretty lightweight for being a long sleeve shirt, making it perfect for a Florida Christmas. Too warm for most days actually, but I wore it a few days ago for the first time, and in the 70 degree weather, it was perfect.
My only complaint about this top is that the white part of the reindeer is peeling off… Underneath it is white in the same silhouette, but there is a layer on top of it that after being machine washed once, some of the corners are lifting. I just went ahead, and pulled off the spots that were coming up, and left the rest.
My pants are a brand called Blue Desire High Waisted (similar from Bealls) that I found at DD’s Discount earlier this year. What I like about these pants is that they have the skinny legs that stop a little shorter than most other jeans I have owned, which make it the perfect match for the brown booties – all my other jeans cover the top of them.
Please feel free to include my outfit in a relevant blog post (like a round up), but do not share it without a proper link back giving me credit. Do not copy and paste my blog post anywhere, link to it instead.
