Yarn Fanatic Linky Party #23 – Expression Fiber Arts Yarn Giveaway

February 9, 2015

Welcome to the 23rd Yarn Fanatic Link Party, and my sixth as co-host, alongside Rachel from The Philosopher’s Wife.

I am a day over halfway through my 14 Days of Valentine Inspired Crafts Self-Challenge. My 14 Days of Valentine Inspired Craft Link Up is live – Please stop by to link up your Valentine Inspired crafts, recipes, stories, decor, party ideas, printables, date night ideas and all others!

Most Clicked:

From Left to Right:

Knitted Scarf from Ana Love Craft. This is a beautiful knitted scarf. The mixture of blue and gray in the colorway is gorgeous. Very soothing. Make sure to visit and check out the necklace and earrings Ana made to go with this scarf!

Bold Color Bands Prayer Shawl from Hooks, Lines and Singers. This prayer shawl looks warm and bright. It was made for charity – sure to brighten up someone’s day!
The looks great with the fringe! I have a hard time determining when to and when not to add a fringe because I generally do not care for them on items I wear, but this shawl looks fun with it!

My Favorites:

From Left to Right, Top to Bottom:

Moogly CAL Block 2 from Linda’s Crafty Corner.
Great job on your second block Linda! Lookin’ good.

Moogly CAL Block 2 from Olives n Okra. As stated in last weeks party favorites, I mentioned that I wanted to participate in the Moogly CAL but was unsure of the color combination I wanted to go with. I think I have found my color combination! Thanks to Olives n Okra.
Great job on this block! And looking forward to seeing many more.

*I also love how two people can take the same pattern and make it their own. Both of these blocks look great – but the blankets are sure to be unique. Can’t wait to see how they finish out.
This is a fine example of how each of us are our own artists.

My First Baby Blanket from Threads by Ionyka. Fantastic Job on your baby blanket! I love the granny square pattern – so many neat things you can do with it. Great use of the colors of the rainbow (and more!).

Doily from Haak en Maak (Hook and Make). These doily’s are so cute! They look great under the vases and would look great in many other places like under the jar of cotton balls in the bathroom, under the jar of sugar in the kitchen, under your coffee cup… Work up in different weight yarns to make suitable for others areas of your home.

My Philosopher Favorite:

I went back into the archives this week and found this cute Ruffle Scarf – a Boutique Sassy Fabric Review from Rachel. Use one skein for your little one, or two  for yourself. Perfect fashion accessory for the upcoming Spring and Summer months when a heavier scarf is too much.

This Weeks Giveaway is sponsored by Expression Fiber Arts. They are giving away a skein of Celestial ‘Resilient’ Superwash Merino Sock Yarn to one lucky winner. If you haven’t seen this yarn yet, make sure to check it out! The colorway is a gorgeous combination of silvery gray, black, pink and purple. This yarn is hand created, with no two skeins identical. One really great thing about this yarn is the “superwash” quality – meaning it can be machine washed without the worry of felting or the piece being ruined.
a Rafflecopter giveaway

Welcome!

Welcome!

Hey! I'm Alexandra, the blogger and creator behind EyeLoveKnots and On Rockwood Lane! My passion is being creative. My favorite thing to do is crochet, and you will almost always find me having a cup of coffee and working on a new crochet project, but when I'm not doing that, you might find me out at a local park rollerblading, baking some fresh cookies, picking veggies in the garden or re-decorating for a new season or holiday. My two cats are great supervisors for all my adventures (minus the being outside because they think it's too hot in Florida to be anywhere but inside), and make sure I take plenty of breaks.
