Welcome to the 37th Yarn Fanatic Link Party, and my 20th as co-host, alongside Rachel from The Philosopher’s Wife.
Most Clicked:
Hekla Tablecloth/Mandala from Lunamon Design. This mandala is GORGEOUS! I LOVE the colors!! Though there isn’t a pattern attached, this is a great inspiration for us all. And I love that Monica took time to mention Veteran’s Day, honoring those in Norway who fought. As much as I don’t like to think about the sad things going on in the world, it’s great to pause and think of those who fought and still are.
Puerperium Cardigan from Sam the Knitter. This is such an adorable little top! I am in love with the green color. I have grown quite fond of it recently, and may now need to make myself a top in it. AND – have you seen the cute little penguin buttons lined down the side?! It really adds interest to the top, and shows there’s no limit as to when and what you can and can’t use certain themed things on. So cute!
EyeLoveKnots Yarn Favorites:
My Philosopher Favorite:
I really love this Swirl Hat Knit with Never Enough Thyme from The Philosopher’s Wife. The photos are great, and the yarn color is so rich. Pair that with the texture and I am in love.
This Week’s Giveaway is sponsored by STRING THEORY Hand Dyed Yarn, Inc. This is actually going to be a month long giveaway with multiple chances to win – TWO WEEKS LEFT TO ENTER!!
There are a few things on the Rafflecopter that can be completed daily, like leaving a blog post comment (2 opportunities daily), commenting on a link that’s already been shared by another (1 entry daily), linking up a project (1 entry daily).
One lucky winner will receive a $60 Gift Certificate to the String Theory Hand Dyed Yarn Shop. I know everyone could use a little yarn to add to their stash. We never have enough, isn’t that right?
If you haven’t had the chance to visit the String Theory shop and gallery, head over! The shop tabs are located on the left-hand side of the site. Each is very unique, and has it’s own little story found on the top of each page.
I think my favorite is the Caper Sock – “a luxurious blend 80% merino, 10% cashmere, and 10% nylon, springy with great stitch definition.” Doesn’t that sound amazing?! I would love to try some of this yarn to make a lacy Summer scarf, or perhaps a late Spring/early Fall shawl – what about you?
a Rafflecopter giveaway
Must be 18 Years or Older to enter. US only. Void where prohibited. Winner has 48 hours to respond to notification, or another winner will be chosen. Social media not affiliated with this giveaway. Things I might buy at a flea market anything that is a double! Since I am now a new Great Grandma of twin girls, it is really hard to find handmade twin items!!
Thanks for the fun linky party again! Hugs, Kim
I can definitely see that! There are lots of things going on with two babies. Good idea Kim – thanks!
Thanks so much for sharing my Embellished Onesie with your readers!
Laura @ Over The Apple Tree
It's adorable! Thank you for sharing with us 🙂
Thank you for adding my scarf to your favorites! I love your ideas about the color and yarn! Cotton would have been great, but I have trouble finding any in my small town – I'm often stuck with acrylic from Walmart 🙁
Regarding the flea market ideas: Have a variety – Display a few large, more costly items to catch the eye and draw in customers, but have plenty of smaller, less expensive items for impulse buys!
For example, your baby blankets and scarves are beautiful and bright, so display some up higher to be seen from farther away. Lower on a table or rack, display some of those pretty earrings you're always making. And display items for kids down at their level, so the parents have to buy it when they start begging, lol 🙂
Acrylic is a great option too! I am fortunate to live in a bigger city with the extra resources and I am very thankful.
Great ideas for the flea market display! Thank you Jenny – you are awesome!!
I LOVE them all….but if forced to select one, would probably be the Long Island Worsted in Cyan…love the dark and stormy, and also the grey worsted. Using more sport weight and lighter yarns than I used to ….but that would be my fav right now. (could be I'd pick a different one on a different day! LOL!
Thanks for the opportunity. When (if) I'm ever able to get out from under these medical bills, I'd be really interested in trying some of these beautiful yarns!
I would love to try some of them too! One day we both will 🙂

Dear Alexandra, thank you for mentioning my sea-dwellers amongst your favourites. Meanwhile I've managed creating them a home (http://marie-lucienne.blogspot.com/2015/05/deep-green-sea.html). I hope you've found lots of beachy things to soothe your yearning for the sea… Happy Sunday, Marjan
I LOVE the home that you have created for them! Looks great! Thanks for sharing with me 🙂
