Welcome to the 41st Yarn Fanatic Link Party, and my 24th as co-host, alongside Rachel from The Philosopher’s Wife.
This week I shared a tutorial for Crocheting a Granny Square complete with photo tutorial.
I didn’t get to work very much this week as we had a death in the family and had to travel out of town for the service and such. Though funerals are usually a very sad occasion, this one wasn’t too bad. My boyfriend’s family is large and close. Together we gathered to honor and celebrate the life of their patriarch. Lots of fun stories were shared, as well as stories of his adventures in the navy and marines, growing up and raising a family in West Virginia, all his contributions to the community and church as well as his final years in the Sunshine State. He led a rich life, surrounded by great people and was a sweet and phenomenal man π He will be missed.
Aside from this, I am feeling quite inspired π
**New Party News: We want everyone to have an equal shot at getting the clicks, views and comments so the last three links shared will be relinked by us. π
Most Clicked:
From Left to Right:
Tunisian Blanket with Daisies for Charity from Milena Places. This is such a pretty blanket! I love the colors chosen paired with the texture of the reverse tunisian stitch. The daisies are an added bonus. Link included to the free pattern for the daisies. I am sure this will help Vasko greatly – a child in need π Milena makes blankets left and right for donation. Have you made anything for donation?
A Sunny Day from Atelier Marie-Lucienne. I will admit, I am jealous of the day Marjan had in this post. A bright sunny day, outside with feet up and a BBQ on the way. Sounds so nice and relaxing! And is reflected in her newest cushion – a bright and fun granny square cushion with tassels! Love it!
Starfish Can from Haekel Fieber. This beachy can is a great addition to your summer/beachy/nautical decor – especially in the bathroom as they are great for organizing bathroom notions. I think they’d also be great for carrying potpourri and filling your home with delicious aromas.
EyeLoveKnots Yarn Favorites:
From Left to Right, Top to Bottom:
Lucy Doll from Jaimees Welt. This Lucy Doll is adorable! I need to find me a pattern similar so I can work up a doll as cute as this!
Clutch Purse from Hip Met Haken. I have had purses on my mind lately, and jotted down some ideas but haven’t gotten around to working any yet. I may though continue to put those on hold and work up one (or ten) of these cute clutch purses! Link included for free crochet pattern. And don’t forget to scroll down and see the packaging idea at the end! Great gift for any lady friend π
Whale Rattle from Haak en Smaak. As the nautical nursery theme is in, this whale rattle fits in perfectly! It is adorable, and looks simple to construct. Link included for free pattern. Make sure you get your copy to work up one for the next baby shower that you are invited too π
Here Comes the Bride! Capelet from Van Dani. This capelet is just beautiful! And definitely has a rustic, romantic look to it with the lacy pattern and dusty rose color. It’s part of a #rusticlacesquare challenge. I haven’t heard of it, but maybe you participated in it?
Twilight Sparkle Dog Snood from Posh Pooch Designs. Though I don’t knit, I would like to learn. This snood is going on my list because, well – it’s too cute on this pooch!
My Philosopher Favorite:
Have you seen this Corset Cuff Bracelet WIP that Rachel of The Philosopher’s Wife is working on? I absolutely LOVE the pattern AND the colors!
This Week’s Giveaway… Well, sorry to say there isn’t one this week. We are currently looking for Giveaway Sponsors. Do you sell patterns, yarn or yarn related items? Would you like to have your shop and/or blog highlighted? Just send an email to Rachel of The Philosopher’s Wife letting her know that you are interested and she will get all the details worked out. We thank you for your participation and support!

I commented but forgot a few things, so I deleted it, lol
DARN IT! I forgot to take a picture of my dads fathers day pillow. I made him the mustache throw pillow from Red Heart, only mine had a white mustache totally suited for my dad. *&%^$! I always enjoy visiting the other blogs. I have been ill so I don't have anything on my hook at the moment so I'll just click away. Have a great party!

I would have loved to see it! I am sure your dad really got a kick out of it. I started working one myself but the stitches looked a little funny so I frogged it. It's still on my list for a later time.
Glad you are feeling better, and that you were able to stop by π
