Yarn Fanatic Party #55 – Week 1 – The Silk Drop Sponsored Giveaway!

February 1, 2016

Welcome to the 55th Yarn Fanatic Link Party, and my 38th as co-host, alongside Rachel from The Philosopher’s Wife.

While searching through previous Yarn Parties I came across the first one and realized that last month marked my One Year Anniversary of co-hosting the Yarn Fanatic Party!! Woo!! How exciting, and they keep getting better and better! Thanks for sharing with us, and being a part of the Yarn Fanatic Party family 🙂

Since our last party I have shared the following projects. They are shown in the order of appearance, newest being last:

Plastic Treasure Etsy Treasury – Etsy Finds & Features
Lots of fun Plastic Canvas Finds here!
Beach Front Slanted Shell Infinity Scarf – Free Crochet Pattern

Most Clicked (From the YFP#54):

Left to Right, Top to Bottom:

Wintersky Beanie from Lunamon Design – Paid Knitting Pattern. This is a very pretty hat pattern. I really like the dark pink, gray and white color combo. It makes the “snow” pop. The way the hat closes up is really neat too – in a spiral!

Making Tiny Gifts from Van Dani – Crochet Inspiration. These adorable little flower earrings began as a gift idea, but after the first pair, Van Dani couldn’t help but work up a few others and I can’t blame her! So cute!

Easy Textured Washcloths from Olives n Okra – Free Crochet Pattern. Washcloths are one of the easiest and quickest projects to work up and make a great addition to your home as well as great gifts! Stock up, and add these to your “gift closet” – a concept not new to us, but great idea. My friend Marie from Underground Crafter wrote a nice little article if you need help getting started.

Slippers from Anna Simple Crochet – Crochet Inspiration. These slippers do look oh so warm and comfy! I really like the placement of the stripes in these too – very clever and appealing.

This Month’s Giveaway is sponsored by The Silk Drop, offering “high quality silk and luxury yarns, hand dyed with professional acid dyes at amazing prices.” One winner will receive an $18 Gift Certificate to purchase some luxury yarn from The Silk Drop! Make sure you stop by and visit The Silk Drop on Facebook. I recently became a fan myself and I just love all the random giveaways they have, and all of the great pattern ideas they share that would pair well with their yarn plus notifications to newly clearanced yarns and sales!

I am loving these yarns! Earth Tones DK Weight Yarn, Electric Blue Worsted Weight Yarn, Coral DK Weight Yarn, and Silver Lining Beaded Silk Novelty Yarn. How about you?

a Rafflecopter giveaway

Must be 18 Years or Older to enter. US only. Void where prohibited. Winner has 48 hours to respond to notification, or another winner will be chosen. Social media not affiliated with this giveaway. The Silk Drop is responsible for prize fulfillment, not EyeLoveKnots nor The Philosopher’s Wife.

Remember you can enter multiple times by coming back daily. The entries will reset so you can reclick them, but the counters at the top will not – those will have your total entries for the month.

Call for Sponsors!

Are you a pattern designer – Crochet, knit, plastic canvas, embroidery, latch hook, pom pom crafts, and other yarny crafts… Or do you design yarn related graphics, shirts, buttons, printables, tote bags? Maybe you are a yarn dyer? Or perhaps you have a really large yarn stash and you are looking to do a de-stashing of them? We are in need of giveaway sponsors for the Yarn Fanatic Party! If you are interested in teaming up with Rachel of The Philosopher’s Wife and I to sponsor a giveaway at one of our parties, PLEASE contact either Rachel or I.

Join the Party!

The Yarn Fanatic Party will begin every Monday afternoon, and run through Sunday night. You have all week and weekend to post your fantastic yarn related projects!

Please share projects that are family friendly, and YARN RELATED; ie Crochet, Knit, with an extension to include Cross Stitch, Needlepoint on Plastic Canvas and Embroidery.
Also make sure you are linking up to your blog post, and just just your blog’s home page.

Welcome!

Welcome!

Hey! I'm Alexandra, the blogger and creator behind EyeLoveKnots and On Rockwood Lane! My passion is being creative. My favorite thing to do is crochet, and you will almost always find me having a cup of coffee and working on a new crochet project, but when I'm not doing that, you might find me out at a local park rollerblading, baking some fresh cookies, picking veggies in the garden or re-decorating for a new season or holiday. My two cats are great supervisors for all my adventures (minus the being outside because they think it's too hot in Florida to be anywhere but inside), and make sure I take plenty of breaks.
