Yarn Fanatic Party #56 – Week 4 – Lorna’s Laces & Yarn Baby Yarn Giveaway

March 28, 2016

Welcome to the 56th Yarn Fanatic Link Party, and my 39th as co-host, alongside Rachel from The Philosopher’s Wife.

At the beginning of the month, I shared that I was just getting over being sick, but finally getting back to blogging. Well… Life stepped in again, and changed that. My boyfriend, Chad, and I decided to end our relationship, so between that and moving in with my aunt, I haven’t been doing much blogging. In fact, I don’t even have WiFi at home now so I have been doing a lot of crocheting, writing down in my notebook and occasionally visiting my local McDonald’s to take advantage of their free WiFi – Thank you McDonald’s! I now live in a city not far from where I was, but a different area nontheless and one I am not too familiar with so I have enjoyed seeing different things here. Slowly, I am getting back into the swing of things, and will try sharing more along the way.
Wishing you all well! Last week of the Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Yarn Giveaway so make sure to come back every day and enter for a chance to win!
Since our last party post, I have shared:

Ripple Tote Bag – Free Crochet Pattern
Women’s Slanted Shell Slippers in 9 US Sizes – Free Crochet Pattern

and I shared my Easter Nails yesterday 🙂
I wanted to have my new weekly segment up and going earlier this month, and weekly/bi-weekly giveaways starting in April, but with all going on, this is going to be on hold for the moment. I will update you as this changes.

Most Clicked:

From Left to Right:

Blueberry Hill Shawl from Stitches N Scraps – Free Crochet Pattern. This beauty is worked using the lacy and lightweight Solomon Knot Stitch. So many ways to wear this piece, and still show off the beautiful openwork. Bundled up it’s better for the cooler days, and open as a shawl it’s better for the warmer days. Warning: Blocking is critical.
Wool Coat from Ana Love Craft – Knitting Inspiration. What a gorgeous cabled sweater! Of course, I drool over the beauty of knit pieces, but I am also loving the creamy yarn choice over the dark turtleneck. Can’t wait to see the second sweater made from the darker, tweedy yarn!

Call for Sponsors!

Are you a pattern designer – Crochet, knit, plastic canvas, embroidery, latch hook, pom pom crafts, and other yarny crafts… Or do you design yarn related graphics, shirts, buttons, printables, tote bags? Maybe you are a yarn dyer? Or perhaps you have a really large yarn stash and you are looking to do a de-stashing of them? We are in need of giveaway sponsors for the Yarn Fanatic Party! If you are interested in teaming up with Rachel of The Philosopher’s Wife and I to sponsor a giveaway at one of our parties, PLEASE contact either Rachel or I.

Join the Party!

The Yarn Fanatic Party will begin every Monday afternoon, and run through Sunday night. You have all week and weekend to post your fantastic yarn related projects!

Welcome!

Welcome!

Hey! I'm Alexandra, the blogger and creator behind EyeLoveKnots and On Rockwood Lane! My passion is being creative. My favorite thing to do is crochet, and you will almost always find me having a cup of coffee and working on a new crochet project, but when I'm not doing that, you might find me out at a local park rollerblading, baking some fresh cookies, picking veggies in the garden or re-decorating for a new season or holiday. My two cats are great supervisors for all my adventures (minus the being outside because they think it's too hot in Florida to be anywhere but inside), and make sure I take plenty of breaks.
