February 2017 Nails: Orchid & Gold – Nail Inspiration

March 3, 2017

I don’t know about you, but I absolutely loooovvveee getting my nails done. I used to spend a lot of time doing them myself, but I hate dealing with smudging nail polish. I also really love the act of getting a manicure – it’s so relaxing! And since I crochet a lot, my hands hurt pretty often so the hand massage is extra awesome. I have been going to the same place for a while now, and they know me well and take extra time on the hand massages for me, which is an added bonus.

Just thought I’d share some nail inspiration with you – these are my February Nails in Orchid and Gold. I wanted something rosy paired with the gold, but I didn’t see the color I was searching for, but that’s okay because I really like the orchid color too! It was also my first time getting glitter polish in the gel. I did get regular glitter polish last year for St. Patrick’s Day and that was a pain to get off. Not sure how much more work this one will be to get off, but for now, it’s so pretty and fun, and covers well.

And just for kicks, if you are wondering where the photo was taken… In a dressing room, while I was shopping for some new leggings. Haha! Though my picture quality is a little low since I dropped my phone one too many times, I like the idea and think I’ll take some more pictures like this in the future. Great way to show off the nails without laying flat, or wrapped around a polish bottle.

I haven’t shared my nails with you in a while, but I do have some other Nail Inspiration and tutorials for you on my Nail Art page.
I would like to start doing some more nail art tutorials. Anything specifically you’d like to see? Drop me a line below!

Oooh, pretty. That color combination is yummy. I can't wear polish very often because it makes my nails split, so I'm very envious!

That sucks! I had a probably with my nails splitting and peeling with polish – an allergy. I experimented with polish brands, and got lucky with some plus I found Sally Hansen makes a great base coat. I've gotten really lucky with the gel polish – no issues what-so-ever in the last two years of switching to the gel.
