April 2017 Nails: Mod Blue & Checkered White for Spring

May 5, 2017

Here are my Spring Nails – done for April. I did a quick search through Pinterest looking for Spring Nail Designs, and came across this pin for 16 Awesome Spring Nail Designs for Short Nails – the page has some really pretty nail art tutorials linked up, but not the one specifically that was my inspiration. I took my picture into Lynn, and she had me pick out the main color, which I chose a bright blue – my new favorite color. I have two yarns that are similar to the color – one called Splash, and one called Mod Blue, which I though was more Springy.

For the ring fingers, she used white as a base – as the photo shows – and we played around with a couple grays to see which one fit best, which ended up being a lighter gray. She used a thin brush, and painted on the lines.
In the photo, it looks like metallic stickers were used, but I like the painting more, and it’s easier on your nails.

Overall, I could not be happier with these nails!

I do have some other Nail Inspiration and tutorials for you on my Nail Art page. I would like to start doing some more nail art tutorials. Anything specifically you’d like to see? Drop me a line below!
