Peeps S’more Cream Pie – Recipe Review – A BaJillian Recipes

April 3, 2019

My review of a delicious, creamy, fluffy, marshmallow filling inside a graham cracker pie crust topped with adorable Peeps and rainbow sprinkles.

This recipe popped into my inbox the other day, and it was settled – this is what I was going to make for myself as my Birthday dessert – I always make my own cake/dessert.

I searched at two of my local Walmarts and my local Publix for the Peeps Marshmallow coffee creamer used in the filling, but I could not find it, so I ended up using French Vanilla which still turned out marvelous. I will still be on the look out for the marshmallow creamer though because I so want to try it! And maybe I will make another pie too, hehe.

Super easy, DELICIOUS pie – highly recommended recipe!

Makes:

9 – 10″ Pie to Feed 8 – 10

Time Spent:

About 5.5 Hours – 1.5 To Prep, 4 Hours (or Overnight) to Settle

Ingredients I Used:

  • 10″ Keebler Ready Made Graham Cracker Crust
  • 7 oz of Nestle Tollhouse White Chocolate Chips
  • 1 1/3 Cup of Heavy Cream
  • 2 Tbsp of Butter
  • 30 Large Marshmallows (nearly a whole 10 oz pack)
  • 1/2 Cup of International Delights French Vanilla Coffee Creamer
  • 1/4 Tsp of Salt
  • Whipped Cream – I used the kind in the can (see notes below)
  • Rainbow Sprinkles
  • One pack of Yellow Peeps
  • Peeps S’more Cream Pie Recipe from A BaJillian Recipes

I Also Used:

  • Small Saucepan – for Heavy Cream
  • Larger Saucepan – for Marshmallows
  • Medium Bowl – for Ganache
  • Medium Bowl – for Marshmallows
  • Large Bowl – for Filling
  • Several spatulas
  • Measuring Cup and Spoons
  • *Plastic Wrap – see notes

Ingredient Notes:

CRUST: Original recipe explains how to make the crust from scratch. I cheated, and bought a ready made pie crust.

CREAMER: Original recipe uses Peeps Marshmallow flavor, but since I couldn’t find it, I used the French Vanilla. You can change it up to any flavor!

WHIPPED CREAM: I used the whipped cream in a can, and even though I did the embellishing about an hour before enjoying, the whipped topping had melted, so… I am not sure what brand/kind is a better option, but it didn’t stop us from enjoying it.

PLASTIC WRAP: Original recipes requires plastic wrap for the ganache – I missed this step! Ganache did not turn out as smooth as it could have, and I think it was because of this step. Explained more in recipe notes below.

Recipe Notes:

This was how my ganache turned out – not as smooth as I would have liked. I missed the step of covering in plastic wrap, letting sit for a few minutes, and then mixing. Instead, I started mixing right away. I got it as smooth as I could, and still turned out well, but a little bumpy in some places.

Into the fridge overnight…

The next day, about an hour before enjoying, I applied the whipped topping around the edge to create a place for the Peeps to sit.

And one in the center for the last Peep of the package.

Sprinkles!

I cut the first piece. Oh boy! This pie was incredibly fluffy and delicious!

Welcome!

Welcome!

Hey! I'm Alexandra, the blogger and creator behind EyeLoveKnots and On Rockwood Lane! My passion is being creative. My favorite thing to do is crochet, and you will almost always find me having a cup of coffee and working on a new crochet project, but when I'm not doing that, you might find me out at a local park rollerblading, baking some fresh cookies, picking veggies in the garden or re-decorating for a new season or holiday. My two cats are great supervisors for all my adventures (minus the being outside because they think it's too hot in Florida to be anywhere but inside), and make sure I take plenty of breaks.
