Yarn Fanatic Link Party #22 – Heartspun By Wendy Sponsored Giveaway

February 2, 2015

Welcome to the 22nd Yarn Fanatic Link Party, and my fifth as co-host, alongside Rachel from The Philosopher’s Wife.

This week I posted
Tammy’s Granny Square Lapghan Crochet Pattern, which shows how to join the Solid Granny Squares that I shared with you at the end of December.

I also shared the first project of my 14 Days of Valentine Inspired Craft Projects – the Spring Has Sprung Scarf in the gorgeous Floral colorway.

And my 14 Days of Valentine Inspired Craft Link Up – Please stop by to link up your Valentine Inspired crafts, recipes, stories, decor, party ideas, printables, date night ideas and all others!

Most Clicked Projects:

Left to Right:
Bakers Twine Effect Crochet from Sum of Their Stories. While this was a Christmas project, this technique is great for working up some heart garland to hang around your house or on your Valentine Themed Tree. Julie does a great job at showing how to use their technique, and even includes a free crochet pattern for a Rose. I have been wanting to begin crocheting flowers, perhaps this will be the beginning.
Thick & Thin Cowl Scarf from Little Crochet. First – Happy 1st Birthday to Little Crochet! Secondly, thank you for sharing this free crochet pattern! It’s a beautiful little cowl scarf. Perfect for the cooler weather we’ve all been experiencing. And the colors are lovely!

My Yarn Favorites:

From Left to Right.
Tiener Dochter (Teenage Daughter) from Haak en Maak. I love everything about this scarf. The cluster stitches, the look (width and length), the color choice. Beautiful scarf. I had something similar in mind – I will be looking to this pattern again. You will need the translation option to read this pattern, but it translates just fine.
Linda’s Moogly CAL Block 1 from Linda’s Crafty Corner. Linda did a great job with this challenging block. I have the Moogly CAL Block bookmarked to participate in – I just have trouble deciding on a colors. Anyone with suggestions, please leave me a comment! Outside of that, wonderful job, Linda! Can’t wait to see your other blocks.
Knit a Block Week Blanket from Linda’s Crafty Corner. Linda has been busy! This gorgeous sampler blanket has been one of those WIPS that seems to never end, but she finally conquered it! Congrats Linda! And beautiful afghan.

My Philosopher Favorite:

Rachel picked a wonderful pattern – Infinity Loop Lace Shell Circle Scarf – to use with this Swanky yarn. I have been wanting to try this yarn, but wasn’t quite sure what I would use it on. This is a great place to start for the Spring.

This Weeks Giveaway is sponsored by Wendy of Heartspun By Wendy. I discovered her a few weeks ago, and included some of my favorites in my Daily Dose of EyeLoveKnots Finds for January 19th, 2015.
Wendy has offered to giveaway one pattern, winner’s choice. Make sure you visit Heartspun By Wendy on Etsy to view the neat items in her shop! Some of the ones on my Favorites list include:

That is quite a pet toy! I have it on my list to gift to my aunt for her dogs. Love the idea of having the crinkly noise from the bottle to entertain the dogs.

Welcome!

Welcome!

Hey! I'm Alexandra, the blogger and creator behind EyeLoveKnots and On Rockwood Lane! My passion is being creative. My favorite thing to do is crochet, and you will almost always find me having a cup of coffee and working on a new crochet project, but when I'm not doing that, you might find me out at a local park rollerblading, baking some fresh cookies, picking veggies in the garden or re-decorating for a new season or holiday. My two cats are great supervisors for all my adventures (minus the being outside because they think it's too hot in Florida to be anywhere but inside), and make sure I take plenty of breaks.
