Yarn Fanatic Linky Party #31 – Tinted Tangles Giveaway

April 6, 2015

Welcome to the 31st Yarn Fanatic Link Party, and my 14th as co-host, alongside Rachel from The Philosopher’s Wife.

This week I shared an earring tutorial… I didn’t get to share any of my yarn projects – I didn’t even have a WIPS Wednesday or Living the Dream post for the week. I ended up going to the Zoo with Mrs. Sorrells (a VIP – I will be sharing more about her later), my cousin, Tiffany, and her two children, Tyler and Madison, as a late birthday present, went to a jazz concert, had my Friday date day with my boyfriend early this week, and helped my cousin, Tiffany, move into a house, and late Easter celebration with my family after work. I am just pooped.

I did get my Blue Denims Baby Blanket posted this morning. The post is mostly an outline with the basic solid granny square pattern and border. No photo tutorial on this one as I have one for each part in the How to Crochet a Solid Granny Square and Tammy’s Granny Square Lapghan posts.

Most Clicked:

From Top to Bottom, Left to Right:

Jewelled Granny Mandala from Little Crochet. This is quite a gem of a find – I just love how all the colors just seem to pop right out. It is quite an interesting granny project but really quite lovely! Can’t wait to see the bag once it’s all finished and put together.

Herringbone Washcloth from The Purple Poncho. I just love the texture and look of the herringbone stitch! A set of these washcloths would make a nice gift especially with Mother’s Day soon upon us.

Little Winter Rose Sweater from Lunamon Design. I love the wintery feel of this sweater, and the subtle roses down on the bottom. A beautiful, knitted sweater!

Yarn Spring Wreath from Brushing Our Way Through Life. Such a sweet, lovely Spring wreath! There are a few photos showing how to create the felt flowers, and the final image of the wreath. Such a great idea!

My EyeLoveKnots Favorites:

From Top to Bottom, Left to Right:

Flower Hair Comb from Little Treasures. I love the simplicity of the small single colored flowers all placed together to form this beautiful Spring Hair Comb. In any color scheme, these could be great for any season or occasion.

Super Hero Dog Cape by Posh Pooch Designs. I am going to make one of these and see if my cat, Shiloh, can be persuaded to wear it. He doesn’t do well with keeping things on. Aside from the cuteness of this piece, the purpose behind it is much greater – Dog Rescue! There are all too many dogs out there needing homes – adopt one from a shelter!

Crochet Easter Egg Covers by 5 Little Monsters. I am really in love with these adorable little Easter Egg Covers, especially the Lamb!
At first, I thought they were just stuffed, but then I scrolled down further to see how they become covers. Genius idea!

Cute Bunnies from Jerry and Kay. I have been wanting to try out the Bella the Bunny pattern from Lion Brand but haven’t gotten to it yet. Seeing these colorful, Cute Bunnies though has brought back the want to try it. The ribbons and bow ties add extra character to these cuties, and the bushy pom pom tails are to die for! I am sure her grandkids loved receiving these in their Easter baskets!

Crochet Earrings from Milena Places. Being Milena’s first pair of crochet earrings – they came out really great! Though there isn’t a pattern attached to this one, it is great inspiration. I will definitely be trying some.

My Philosopher Favorite:

Have you been over to see what Rachel of The Philosopher’s Wife has been up to? You should! Check out this purple and blue chevron blanket. I just love the color combo! And can’t wait to see the finished blanket. I may have to just make myself one too! Hope on over to her WIPS Wednesday post from last week to see what else she’s been working on!

Welcome!

Welcome!

Hey! I'm Alexandra, the blogger and creator behind EyeLoveKnots and On Rockwood Lane! My passion is being creative. My favorite thing to do is crochet, and you will almost always find me having a cup of coffee and working on a new crochet project, but when I'm not doing that, you might find me out at a local park rollerblading, baking some fresh cookies, picking veggies in the garden orΒ re-decorating for a new season or holiday. My two cats are great supervisors for all my adventures (minus the being outside because they think it's too hot in Florida to be anywhere but inside), and make sure I take plenty of breaks.
