Spring Craft Fair Crochet Pattern Roundup

February 5, 2020

Crochet patterns for spring and summer craft markets.

It’s me, Shawna with Double Knotted Crochet, back to share a line up of my favorite crochet patterns for Spring markets.

Visit with me on Instagram @doubleknottedcrochet for all kinds of awesome crochet makes and inspiration (I am stocking up too!)

One of the most frequent questions after Christmas in the crochet world is “What can I make for my warm weather markets?”

While it’s easy to make for Fall and Winter markets – hats, scarfs, ornaments, Spring and Summer leave us guessing what our customers will want. To fix that, here’s a round up of 6 amazing and free crochet patterns to help spur your inspiration, and stock up to get selling!

Crochet Water Balloons from Left In Knots:

These crochet water balloons have been a big seller for me ever since I discovered them last Spring. In fact, I was looking for market ideas then too. They are a quick make, good for the environment, and kids absolutely love them! Use Bernat Blanket Yarn or Bernat Baby Blanket to make them perfectly absorbent.

Crochet Velvet Scrunchie from The Purple Poncho:

Sksksksk. Isn’t that what the VSCO girls love to say? Thank goodness scrunchies are back, because my 90s heart is in love! One scrunchie takes about 10 minutes to make and the colors are amazing. I have a tray of usually 6 different colors at once and my customers love picking their own sets of colors. Use Bernat Velvet Yarn and a Goody Hair Tie for best results!

Crunchy Stitch Crochet Dishcloth from Petals to Picots:

One thing I’ve always stocked and always have requests for are crochet dishcloths. Customers love how soft they are, yet how strong they are in taking off stuck on food and grease. These crunchy stitch dishcloths are full of texture and so easy to whip out. Try it with Lily Sugar n Cream, or Red Heart’s Smoothie.

Crafty Facial Rounds from A Crafty Concept:

I’m a huge fan of Ashley over at A Crafty Concept. This pattern for crafty facial rounds checks all the boxes: fast, easy, takes minimal amounts of yarn, looks amazing. The secret behind the pampering in these little rounds of goodness comes from the Bernat Baby Blanket Yarn, it takes off most makeup with just water while the cotton border helps exfoliate. I sell in sets of three.

Crochet Mug Rug from Crochet ‘n’ Create:

Mug Rugs have taken over coasters as the new thing to place your beverage. These little beauties from Crochet ‘n’ Create use minimal amounts of yarn and have all that lovely boho fringe. Try it with Bernat’s Softee Baby Cotton.

Round Dip-Dyed Earrings from EyeLoveKnots:

Our very own Alexandra created these beautiful color block earrings that any craft fair customer would swoon over. Just imagine how perfectly they would pair with a swimsuit and large sunhat for a stunning beach look!

I have yet to jump on the scrunchie train, just because I don’t use them, but they look so fun and quick to work up.

Welcome!

Welcome!

Hey! I'm Alexandra, the blogger and creator behind EyeLoveKnots and On Rockwood Lane! My passion is being creative. My favorite thing to do is crochet, and you will almost always find me having a cup of coffee and working on a new crochet project, but when I'm not doing that, you might find me out at a local park rollerblading, baking some fresh cookies, picking veggies in the garden or re-decorating for a new season or holiday. My two cats are great supervisors for all my adventures (minus the being outside because they think it's too hot in Florida to be anywhere but inside), and make sure I take plenty of breaks.
