The ultimate list of Crochet Facebook Groups to Share & Promote In.

Facebook groups are one of the biggest sources of traffic to my blog, and also one of my favorite ways to connect with other makers. Yes, they are great for promoting within, but also great for getting advice, sharing WIPs among like-minded makers, and finding inspiration and awe. I’ve made friends through participating in different groups, like our very own Shawna from Double Knotted Crochet, and also found trusted makers to test my crochet designs. Facebook groups really open doors, and can be quite fun.

This list includes all of the Facebook groups that I am actively in that allow free sharing of crochet patterns. What do I mean by “free sharing”? There are some groups that do not allow self promotion, which means you cannot share links to your blog or shop, and there are also groups that only allow designers to share on a specific day. I do not have time for these groups, and therefore I do not join them. I don’t mean to come off as harsh, but I work a full time job, as well as full time on my blog, and simply cannot participate in groups that I am limited in.

I tried my best to include information about sales post sharing (like destashing links, etc), but I always have to go through their individual rules to check when I am getting ready to share one of these types of posts. I recommend doing this too.

Alexandra Lane Lifestyle

This group is tied to this EyeLoveKnots blog, and allows for lifestyle posts. The best way to share in this group is to speak as if speaking to a group of good friends, rather than a general group. This group is fashion and lifestyle based, so it’s best to share posts that can relate to fashion – many crochet and knit posts fit this, or things like gifting, mom life, homemaking, etc.

All Things Crochet

This group is hosted by the awesome maker of Ashley’s Crochet. All crochet related posts are welcome.

AllFreeCrochet Community

This group is tied to the AllFreeCrochet site, and allows for the sharing of free crochet content. This means you can share links to free crochet patterns, and of course share your WIPs, but no linking to paid patterns. You do not need to be registered at their site to share, but it is an excellent resource for traffic, and inspiration. No sharing of giveaways or sales in this group. Biggie for designers/bloggers: one post per week, otherwise you risk being removed. Do you knit too? Join their AllFreeKnitting Community.

Amy Latta and Friends

This group is tied to the Amy Latta Creations blog, and allows for all DIY related posts, though it’s hand lettered base. Amy is very active in this group, and very open to requests for blog posts related to hand lettering, which really can relate to just about anything. The best way to share in this group is to speak as if speaking to a group of good friends, rather than a general group.

Annie’s Crochet

This group is tied to the Annie’s Catalog site, and allows for all FREE crochet content, as well as of course the sharing of WIPs and finished objects. This group is not for much self promotion. The best way to share in this group is to speak as if speaking to a group of good friends, rather than a general group.

Ash & Tay Crochet

This group is tied to A Crafty Concept (Ash’s group), and Taylor Lynn Crochet (Tay’s group), and is very maker friendly. This group allows for all crochet related posts, is very Etsy friendly, and an excellent resource for the business side of crocheting including social media, Etsy/online shop, craft fairs and more. They both host a Tuesday Talks live where you can get all your business questions answered.

Coco Crochet Lee’s Community Group

This group is tied to the Coco Crochet Lee blog, and allows for all crochet and knit related posts.

Cosy Rosie Crochet Community

This group is tied to the CosyRosieUK Etsy Shop, and allows for all crochet related posts.

Craft Cult

This group is tied to Our Crafty Mom blog, and allows for a DIY & Home Decor related posts. No sharing of paid links in this group – only WIPs, finished projects, and links to free content.
