Yarn Fanatic Linky Party #21

January 26, 2015

Welcome to the 21th Yarn Fanatic Link Party, and my fourth as co-host, alongside Rachel from The Philosopher’s Wife.

This week, I posted a free crochet pattern – Men’s Gray and Black Color Block Scarf. It makes a great gift for him, and is perfect for the cooler weather we’ve all been having.

A Message to You: I will be opening a Valentine’s Themed Link Up Party that will last two weeks, beginning February 1st. I hope you will tune back in to link up your Valentine projects – not yarn specific.
I will also be releasing 14 Days of Heart Day Projects! Make sure to subscribe or follow me on Bloglovin so you don’t miss out on my Heart Day projects!

Thanks to all who shared their projects, and left comments at our last linky party!

The Most Clicked Projects:

From Left to Right:

The Crochet Mitten and Hat from My Little Shop of Treasures. This is such a cute little pink set! Any little girl would LOVE to have these on – I am sure whether the need for gloves is necessary or not.

Creating a Love Bug from The Dempster Logbook. Becky has a nice little tutorial for creating a pom pom and how to make the head and feet for this adorable love bug. I think every household needs a bunch of these for the upcoming Love Holiday.

The Sunburst Granny Square Tutorial from Little Crochet. Here is a great picture tutorial for creating the Sunburst Granny Square. Use this opportunity to use up all those yarn scraps, and to create a nice, warm blanket.

My Yarn Favorites:

From Left to Right:

The Wintertide Headband by Beatrice Ryan Designs. I Love this headband! I already have it pinned to try. Really, I think the cute little button ties this whole headband together. You can use the same color a million times, but change up the decorative piece and it becomes a whole new one.

Red and White Chevron Pillow from Made in Craftadise. I am currently working on some Valentine’s Day pillows for my living room. I think that after I am done, I will need to start working on some of these Chevron Cushions! It is so cute.
One thing that bothers me about the chevron/ripple pattern is the fact that it tends to crinkle in the points, but this pillow doesn’t.
It’s nice, full and smooth.

My Philosopher Favorite:

This week, Rachel has been working on a knit Berries Blast Beanie using new Red Heart Medley yarn. This color is quite scrumptious looking! And just in time for the Love Holiday approaching soon.
It does look a tad busy for cables, but it is a very nice colorway. Think I might have to pick me up a skein.

This Weeks Giveaway
is a continuation from last week…
It is sponsored by Happily Hooked Crochet Magazine. One lucky reader will receive a year’s subscription to this digital magazine.

I personally am a subscriber to this magazine as of about a month ago, when they were running a special. I immediately began poking around online to take advantage of my subscription.
This magazine is a little different than others as you do not physically receive anything – it is all available online, or from your respective electronic devices.
One thing I really like are the emails I receive from Happily Hooked. They include crochet tips, friendly reminders about sales, free pattern round ups and calls for designer help. I feel like part of the group when I receive these emails and that is so neat!
You must be 18 years or older to enter and be a US resident. Void where prohibited. Winner will be notified by email from Rachel of The Philosopher’s Wife, and have 48 hours to respond or a new winner will be drawn. Neither EyeLoveKnots nor The Philosopher’s Wife are responsible for prize fulfillment.
Enough said, enter away!

Welcome!

Welcome!

Hey! I'm Alexandra, the blogger and creator behind EyeLoveKnots and On Rockwood Lane! My passion is being creative. My favorite thing to do is crochet, and you will almost always find me having a cup of coffee and working on a new crochet project, but when I'm not doing that, you might find me out at a local park rollerblading, baking some fresh cookies, picking veggies in the garden or re-decorating for a new season or holiday. My two cats are great supervisors for all my adventures (minus the being outside because they think it's too hot in Florida to be anywhere but inside), and make sure I take plenty of breaks.
