Yarn Fanatic Linky Party #30 – Sweet Potato 3 Patterns Giveaway!

March 30, 2015

Welcome to the 30th Yarn Fanatic Link Party, and my 13th as co-host, alongside Rachel from The Philosopher’s Wife.

In last week’s WIP Wednesday, I shared a sneak peak at the Denim Blues Baby Blanket and the completed Ribbed Baby Hats and matching Diaper Covers. Yesterday I posted my review of the Hats and Diaper Covers. These are perfect for gift giving and I will be making two or three times over in the next few months as a bunch of my friends are having boys.

I also shared a sneak peak at my Sweet Fantasy Baby Blanket.
It has been waiting on one ball of yarn so I can complete the remaining two and a half squares which I was able to pick up at a different Hobby Lobby than I normally shop. No big deal for me though, just happy I was able to get another ball of yarn. Yay!
I have a happy announcement this week too!
ALL of our links from last week received multiple clicks!
That makes me SOO happy!!
Let’s continue to help each other out by commenting on and sharing each others projects. It will help us all build and grow in the end, not to mention the inspiration it will bring us!

Most Clicked:
From Left to Right:

Mini Rings of Change, part of the Five on Friday from Linda’s Crafty Corner. This is a beautiful rug made by Linda as part of a CAL. It really is gorgeous! I would love to make of of these for my flooring.

The Woollen Baby Blanket from Roses’ Crafts. This blanket is something that Richard has been showing with us a few WIPS Wednesday’s now. It’s nice to see the progress being made of this lovely blanket. Lots of time, work and patience has gone into this and it is showing!

Spring Dishcloths from Julie’s Lifestyle. Such nice dishcloths! Love the combination of the Kiwi and Turquoise colors, and the pattern showing is very neat! Looks like it would feel nice against the skin as a washcloth.

EyeLoveKnots Yarn Favorites:
From Left to Right, Top to Bottom:

Kaleidoscope Coasters from Da’s Crochet Connection. I really love these coasters! She has two sets featured in this post and I love how each color scheme presents a different feeling. The one featured here has more of a summery feel, while the other is more of a Springy feel.

Cute Bunnies from Annemarie’s Haakblog. These bunny appliques truly are just too cute! They would look great as pins for a hat or top, on front of a card, as magnets, on blanket squares, as nice coasters on a larger scale… The possibilities are endless!

Kitties in a Row Tote Bag from Posh Pooch Designs. As a cat lover, I have a special place in my heart for this bag. It is a very cute idea! And a free pattern makes it a steal.

Cock-a-Doodle Easter Mug Cozy from Happy in Red. Esther has a fantastic idea for Easter – a day of relaxation. Wake up, drink her coffee in a mug covered in this rooster inspired mug cozy, lounge around in PJs and catch up on reading. Sounds very peaceful. I, however, won’t get so lucky. Hehe. I may work up one of these to drink my morning coffee in though.
Side note – make sure to tune in for Living the Dream Wednesday this week to see a special photo I have related to the “cock-a-doodle” theme.

Catnip Doves from The Fur Babies Momma. Not only do cats love chasing birds, but they also LOVE catnip anything. My Shiloh will definitely be receiving one of these catnip toys from me! I will be using Lily Sugar n Cream yarn though, as it is tougher than the I Love This Cotton Yarn – need something a little tougher to stand up to cat claws. Since they look quick and easy to work up, I will also make some to donate. πŸ™‚

Granny Square Skirt from Little Crochet. I have had a skirt like this on my list for some time now, and haven’t gotten around to it yet…::sighs::…but now it is a must! I am inspired again. What a lovely skirt πŸ™‚ And I just love the ripple effect.

Doily Easter Basket from The Honeycomb Home. Though this doily wasn’t crocheted or knitted by Roxanne for this project, the idea is planted. This would make a lovely Easter/Spring centerpiece for the table, or for any season as just the bowl shaped doily. Great idea!

Solstice Sun Rising, CAL Block #6 from Milena Places. I really like the serene colors chosen for this square. At first glance, the square looks like a full blanket. Oh, it would be so nice!
I was showing it to my boyfriend, Chad, earlier today and he liked all of the designs and colors for all of the Moogly Block Squares I have featured. He asked why I wasn’t working on some myself. Guess it is about time I jumped in, hehe. I told him my dilemma of choosing yarn colors, so he agreed to go yarn shopping with me πŸ™‚

EyeLoveKnots Philosopher Favorite:
Did you know that The Philosopher’s Wife also has a Wordless Wednesday link up? This image is from her last link up titled, A Wild Mom’s Night Out.
If you have images of the kids playing at the playground, flowers from your garden, a silly or sweet picture of your animal/s or anything you’d like to share from life, make sure you take a trip over to participate in her Wordless Wednesday link ups! It’s fun, and refreshing.

I started a new series called Living the Dream so I could participate in her link up, and share more of me than my craft.
Last week I shared this image of my sweet cat, Shiloh πŸ™‚

This Week’s Giveaway is sponsored by Sweet Potato 3 Patterns! Three winners will receive their choice of three patterns. If you haven’t visited this pattern shop, you definitely need to head over there right after you link up! Christine has the cutest baby prop patterns, scarf and hat patterns and more! I have chosen some of my Spring/Summer favorites for the above collage, but really, I have favorited practically her whole store. Hehe. One of the things I really love is that many of her patterns are available in multiple sizes! This is especially helpful for someone like me who sells finished products on Etsy.

From Left to Right, Top to Bottom: Shark Hat, Butterfly Cape and Hat, Snail Prop Set, Tulip Hat, Mermaid Set, Fishing Set, Turtle Shell and Hat, Easter Egg Display.

Must be 18 Years or Older to enter. US only. Void where prohibited. Winner has 48 hours to respond to notification, or another winner will be chosen. Social media not affiliated with this giveaway. Sweet Potato 3 Patterns is responsible for prize fulfillment, not EyeLoveKnots nor The Philosopher’s Wife.

Welcome!

Welcome!

Hey! I'm Alexandra, the blogger and creator behind EyeLoveKnots and On Rockwood Lane! My passion is being creative. My favorite thing to do is crochet, and you will almost always find me having a cup of coffee and working on a new crochet project, but when I'm not doing that, you might find me out at a local park rollerblading, baking some fresh cookies, picking veggies in the garden orΒ re-decorating for a new season or holiday. My two cats are great supervisors for all my adventures (minus the being outside because they think it's too hot in Florida to be anywhere but inside), and make sure I take plenty of breaks.
