Yarn Fanatic Linky Party #34 – The Philosopher’s Wife Giveaways Galore GIVEAWAY

April 27, 2015

Welcome to the 34th Yarn Fanatic Link Party, and my 17th as co-host, alongside Rachel from The Philosopher’s Wife.

This week I shared two yarny posts:

I just made a purchase from the Etsy shop of Petals to Picots.
I have been working my way around them, little by little.
Visit this What Did I Buy from Petals to Picots post for the links to these patterns, and my own little blurb about them.
I also shared a free pattern for a solid and striped version of these Robin’s Egg Slanted Shell Washcloth. These washcloths use one of my favorite stitches – the slanted shell pattern. Be on the look out for the facial scrubby post coming to you this Wednesday!

Most Clicked:

Left Top, Right Top in Reverse “L”:

Rainbow Pillowcase from Lunamon Design. Full of color, and a very unique stitch pattern – this is going to be one awesome pillowcase when done. Pattern link provided.
Sad to hear that Monica was working on this while in pain, but not a bad deal to sit outside, relax and crochet. Feel better soon Monica!!

Minion Blanket from Milena Places. What a cute blanket! What stitch does Milena not recommend using for a blanket? Visit her post to find out!
Regardless, this blanket has a nice, clean look and came out so cute!
As she’s made it in a child size, this blanket is great for any minion lover!

Basic Summer Sandals from Ruby Needles. These sweet little summer sandals are sized for newborn, with hopes of creating other sizes soon. Wish they were in adult size! I would make one for myself in every color.

Unisex Sunhat from Sandys Cape Cod Orig. I just love the swirl on this hat! And the adorable shell edge on the brim. Thankfully, this pattern has all sizes from infant to adult so I can make myself one of these! Pattern also includes flowers, leaves and a snail pattern! Using a solid color, reverse single crochet edge and snail – this is a great sunhat for a little boy too!

EyeLoveKnots Yarn Favorites:

From Left to Right, Top to Bottom:

Granny Square Earrings from Marmarel. I have had this vision for quiet some time now, but it’s standing on my ever growing list of things to do. These came out so nice! And with the Red, White and Blue – these are perfect for the upcoming Memorial Day and 4th of July. Change out the colors, and you can match anything!

Colour Theory in Practice from Plutonium Muffins. This is an interesting read about comparing colour coodination based on a “mono” filter. Corrie provides us with examples, and explanations. Make sure you don’t miss this one!

Lacey Skinny Hearts from Sophibelle Collection. The original link shows as an amigurumi complete with face and flower embellishment, but I couldn’t find that on the post to share so I am sharing the last photo on the post, which I absolutely love! Especially with the shell edging. Leave it off, and you can have a boy and girl version of these hearts. I think these would be so nice in a basket filled with some fragrance, or with a loop to hang – perhaps mobile like?

Spring Party from Atelier Marie-Lucienne. This setting is awesome!! What a great idea for celebrating the beautiful Spring season. This party is complete with garlands, ornaments, pillows, table cloth, mug cozies and vase decor. The tea set on the table definitely adds to the beauty of this. I am envisioning a fun tea party with my cousin Tiffany and her daughter Madison – with some crochet tea cups, saucers and kettle I have been eyeing for a while.

Riviera Skies from Silk and Wool. While there isn’t a pattern attached/available yet, Leyla just did a marvelous job with this top! It would be perfect for the Spring or Summer seasons, and even would look nice over a bathing suit.
I will be crossing my fingers for the pattern to purchase! How about you? 😉

My Philosopher Favorite:

How adorable?! That giraffe is just melting my heart. I recently visited the zoo – check out my Living the Dream post – but though there were three giraffes there, they weren’t as sweet looking as this one! Make sure to visit The Philosopher’s Wife to check out this Another Crochet Project: An Elephant & A Giraffe post. Links provided to patterns for you to create your own!

I know how that is. I have just donated two items for a silent auction, and barely snapped a couple photos of each before they switched hands, and once I got back home, I was trying to remember exactly how I worked them to share. Hehe. Oops.

Welcome!

Welcome!

Hey! I'm Alexandra, the blogger and creator behind EyeLoveKnots and On Rockwood Lane! My passion is being creative. My favorite thing to do is crochet, and you will almost always find me having a cup of coffee and working on a new crochet project, but when I'm not doing that, you might find me out at a local park rollerblading, baking some fresh cookies, picking veggies in the garden or re-decorating for a new season or holiday. My two cats are great supervisors for all my adventures (minus the being outside because they think it's too hot in Florida to be anywhere but inside), and make sure I take plenty of breaks.
