Yarn Fanatic Party #44

July 7, 2015

Welcome to the 44th Yarn Fanatic Link Party, and my 27th as co-host, alongside Rachel from The Philosopher’s Wife.

I have been quite busy in the little amount of time I have had. I had a few other patriotic crochet patterns to share that I didn’t get to in time so I will be tweaking for the season change to share with you at a later time.

Ole’ Red White & Blue Hat in 3 Baby Sizes – Free Crochet Pattern
Patriotic Flag Hat in 3 Baby Sizes – Free Crochet Pattern
Star and Stripes Beanie in 3 Baby Sizes – Free Crochet Pattern
With Star Applique!
Plastic Canvas Fox Earrings – Free Plastic Canvas Pattern & Jewelry DIY

I have had a lot of fun creating all these fun projects, especially the fox earrings! And can’t wait to see what YOU have been up to! I am always very impressed and inspired by all your awesome yarny projects.

Most Clicked:

The SuperFat Owl Can Cozy from TempusMori. These owl cozies are just adorable! I LOVE the look of the crocodile stitch, but it looks so intimidating. Being that this was the first go ’round for Vivian, it inspires me to give it a go too! Especially since I want to make like a million of these little owl cozies. Link to crochet pattern included.

EyeLoveKnots Yarn Favorites:

From Left to Right, Top to Bottom:

Alternating Bag from Crochet n Crafts. You may recognize this pattern and look from last week’s Most Clicked Project – the Alternating Water Bottle Carrier. This bag would be great as a purse, or tote for back to school or the beach. Made using worsted weight cotton yarn, it will be nice and sturdy. I can’t wait to make a bunch of these in a variety of colors. Free Pattern included.

Crochet Covered Wooden Shoe from Over the Apple Tree. How neat is this?! This is such a clever and creative way to embellish a thrift store find to fit in with the rest of your decor. Aside from something really pretty to look at, I think it could also serve as a potpourri holder with perhaps a clean linen scent, or french vanilla to match the yarn color.

Tapestry Crochet NDS Lite Case from Creative Chaos Art. This is such a fun and cute little purse! Though it was made to carry an NDS around in, it would be really great as just a regular little purse too, as well as made larger into a tote or basket. What fun!!

Moogly Block #13 of Wednesday WIPS from Roses Crafts. I really love just the simple solid color of this block, especially in the fun, bright color. I really think it’s going to add to the blanket especially with the solo pop of color. Make sure you check out all the other neat projects that Rick is working on!

Sophie’s Universe Number 2 from Hakelfieber. I was in love with Sandra’s color combination for her first Sophie’s Universe, but I think the second one has topped it! This color combination is great! And though the color red is usually an “in your face” color, it complements the other colors really well in this blanket.

This Week’s Giveaway… Well, sorry to say there isn’t one this week. We are currently looking for Giveaway Sponsors. Do you sell patterns, yarn or yarn related items? Would you like to have your shop and/or blog highlighted? Just send an email to Rachel of The Philosopher’s Wife letting her know that you are interested and she will get all the details worked out. We thank you for your participation and support!

Thank a visit over to The Philosopher’s Wife page and found out what other giveaways are going on!

Join the Party!

The Yarn Fanatic Party will begin every Monday afternoon, and run through Sunday night. You have all week and weekend to post your fantastic yarn related projects!

I was trying to decide which of the patriotic hats I like best, but finally decided I love them all – Great patterns! Love all the links as always, too!

Thanks Jenny! I got them in kind of late so I haven't had much feedback on them being that no one is currently searching for patriotic hats so thank you for your kind comment ๐Ÿ™‚

I was trying to find out which cowl you were asking but I can't seem to find a Jenn that submitted a cowl…

My boyfriend always says, "I can't believe that started as a ball of yarn and you made that with it." It's awesome! Thank you for stopping by

Welcome!

Welcome!

Hey! I'm Alexandra, the blogger and creator behind EyeLoveKnots and On Rockwood Lane! My passion is being creative. My favorite thing to do is crochet, and you will almost always find me having a cup of coffee and working on a new crochet project, but when I'm not doing that, you might find me out at a local park rollerblading, baking some fresh cookies, picking veggies in the garden orย re-decorating for a new season or holiday. My two cats are great supervisors for all my adventures (minus the being outside because they think it's too hot in Florida to be anywhere but inside), and make sure I take plenty of breaks.
