My kids have been into wearing bootie slippers lately and inevitably they are continuously getting lost since they peel them off all over the house. So I decided to make an obnoxious colored set in hopes of making them easier to be spotted!
While this pair may be bright to the eyes, they are cozy on the feet! The crochet pattern is designed to have a different colored sole than the rest of the slipper but you wouldn’t have to do that if you chose not to.
WHAT MATERIALS DO I NEED TO CROCHET SLIPPER BOOTS?
- 240 Yards or Less (depending on the size) of Red Heart Super Saver in Blacklight & Black
- Size 7/4.5mm crochet hook
- Yarn needle
- Scissors
- 2 Hour Slipper Boots, Crochet Pattern from MyCrochetHeaven via Etsy

Material Notes:
This pattern uses worsted weight yarn. There is a note that says this pattern was not written with soft wool intended as the slippers will end up smaller than they should be. Otherwise, I liked this pattern because it didn’t require special yarn or hook sizes so I could just grab some yarn and get started!
How long does it take to crochet slippers?
The title says they are 2 Hour Slipper Boots. It took me 2 hours and 20 minutes to make, including weaving in the ends. That said, I am not a very fast crocheter so I would still say the title is accurate!
Measurements:
The pattern gives the instructions for extra small youth up to extra large adult sizes. I made the extra small youth and my slippers measure 6.5 inches from toe to heel and 4.25 inches from the top of the cuff to the heel.

Gauge:
There is no gauge for this pattern, but my personal gauge was 16 half double crochet stitches across by 12 rows for a 4 inch square.
Pattern Notes:
The 2 Hour Slipper Boots is an excellent pattern if you want something truly quick and easy! This is a great pattern for a beginner wanting to make clothing that isn’t the standard go-to of a beanie or scarf. It does require joining yarn at multiple points but it all blends nicely.
Are there any slipper-wearers you’ll be making a pair for?
