Welcome to the 35th Yarn Fanatic Link Party, and my 18th as co-host, alongside Rachel from The Philosopher’s Wife.
I’ve been busy this week crocheting and jewelry making. Here are my latest yarn creations!

EyeLoveKnots Yarn Favorites:
Cupcake Place Holders from Creations by Kara. Aren’t these mini cupcakes just adorable?! Kara has used them as place holders for her daughter’s birthday party, but I think they’d also make cute ornaments, play food, decor for a little girls room and more! AND! Calorie/Guilt Free. 😉
Crochet Blanket from Solin World. An oldie, but a goodie! Feel free to share your oldies too!
If you follow me, you know that I am a sucker for granny square projects. This blanket is no exception! I love the color scheme chosen, and the lightweight, lacy looking squares. Just lovely! Plus, a free pattern link included.
Painted Knitting Needles from Urban Sleek Blonde. Isn’t this a neat idea? I do wonder if the yarn would catch on the paint at all, but I do love the bright idea. I am sure it would motivate you a bunch to pick up those than some plain ole wooden ones.
Tapestry Bag for Kid from Howling at the Moon. This little bunny bag is so cute! Though Easter has passed, we are still in the Spring Season and Spring means bunnies! Just love this little bag. No pattern attached, but great inspiration.
6 Petal Poppy from Purfylle. I am in love with crochet flowers. Though I have only worked up a few in my time of crocheting, I have a TON pinned – including this one! One day, I will bust out a bunch of crochet flower reviews and fill my life with flowers that will never die. And they make great embellishments for tons of things – not limited to hair accessories and brooches.
This poppy brooch is especially great for Remembrance Day.
Flower Pot from A Day in My Life. I have been looking at this Flower Pot Crochet Pattern on Lion Brand’s site. It’s been pinned for a while, but that’s as far as I’ve gotten with it. Seeing Crystal’s – I think I will also be moving this one up higher on the list.
Fringe Cowl from Posh Patterns. I LOVE this cowl! It’s so simple, yet says a lot especially with the fringe addition. And! I didn’t even know Posh Patterns had a blog! Did you? I am a big fan of her Posh Patterns Etsy shop. Lots of great patterns in there!
Mystery Revealed from Linda’s Crafty Corner. Have you been following along with the Crochet Crowd Mystery Blanket Challenge? Anyone else who’s been working up a blanket – please share it with us!
This blanket is very interesting. I have seen the progress for a few different blankets, and I was surprised with each addition. It definitely was a mystery – wouldn’t have been able to guess any of the parts.
Queen Anne’s Lace Scarf from Posh Pooch Designs. This is such a beautiful scarf! I LOVE the Queen Anne’s stitch. I haven’t worked anything up in it before but I have looked it over a few times. This scarf though – definitely going on my list! It’s especially nice for the current Spring Season, but a great Gift for Her anytime of the year. AND! Photo tutorial included for the stitch pattern. 🙂
Lily Pond Bedspread from My World of Crochet. This bedspread is amazing! It’s a Lily Pond of colorful flowers, but wow! Though there isn’t a pattern attached, it is great inspiration, and worked using the Join-As-You-Go method. My newly loved joining method as it eliminates a bunch of tails to weave in at the end and stacks of squares surrounding you.
My Philosopher Favorite:
This Week’s Giveaway is sponsored by STRING THEORY Hand Dyed Yarn, Inc. This is actually going to be a month long giveaway with multiple chances to win.
There are a few things on the Rafflecopter that can be completed daily, like leaving a blog post comment (2 opportunities daily), commenting on a link that’s already been shared by another (1 entry daily), linking up a project (1 entry daily).
One lucky winner will receive a $60 Gift Certificate to the String Theory Hand Dyed Yarn Shop. I know everyone could use a little yarn to add to their stash. We never have enough, isn’t that right?
If you haven’t had the chance to visit the String Theory shop and gallery, head over! The shop tabs are located on the left-hand side of the site. Each is very unique, and has it’s own little story found on the top of each page.
I think my favorite is the Caper Sock – “a luxurious blend 80% merino, 10% cashmere, and 10% nylon, springy with great stitch definition.” Doesn’t that sound amazing?! I would love to try some of this yarn to make a lacy Summer scarf, or perhaps a late Spring/early Fall shawl – what about you?

It is the yummiest – such beautiful color options.
I love every single one of the Caper Sock colorways. How to choose? The Dark and Stormy might be a favorite though! Thanks for the introduction!
