Yarn Fanatic Party #39 – Chalk Full of Yarny Inspiration!

June 1, 2015

Welcome to the 39th Yarn Fanatic Link Party, and my 22nd as co-host, alongside Rachel from The Philosopher’s Wife.

This week I’ve only been able to get a post up for the Drops of Sunshine Dangle Earrings. They were so popular, I sold them before I even listed them!

I have been busy with my crocheting, and have many posts to share but I haven’t really been working online much.

Today is officially my first day of being unemployed – our contract just ended where I have been working for the last two years, and the hotel brought in a new company. If you are the praying type, please send positive thoughts my way and the way of my fellow co-workers whom are also out of work.
I will have a lot more time on my hands now, and sure to get to work on the posting of my free patterns, pattern reviews, jewelry DIYs and more! This weekend, I will be visiting a local flea market to see what it’s about and if it’s a match for me so I will be sharing more on that next week.

**New Party News: We want everyone to have an equal shot at getting the clicks, views and comments so the last three links shared will be relinked by us. πŸ™‚

Most Clicked:

Top to Bottom, Left to Right:

Sand and Sea Poncho from Posh Pooch Designs. I love this lightweight poncho. As stated by Sara, it would look great with some shorts, jeans or as a swimsuit cover. Casual enough for everyday use, but could easily look great over a little dress if made in the right colors. Plus – Free Pattern! Thanks Sara πŸ™‚

Finished Sophie from Hakelfieber. This gorgeous blanket has so many beautiful little aspects, texture and details built into it. I really love the granny squares along the shorter sides. Great touch!

A Blaze of Colours from Atelier Marie-Lucienne. This is a beautiful example of how one pattern/project idea can be used for another. Check out the post for more details on how this started, and to see more finished photos. Beautiful idea for some Summer decor!

Sweet Treats Drawstring Beach Bag from Posh Pooch Designs. Backpacks are great for ease of carrying items. This one was made with the beach in mind, but I know my little cousin Madison would love to have one of these too! Love it!

EyeLoveKnots Yarn Favorites:

Cherry Blossom Backpack from Milena Places. This is such a cute little backpack! Link to Free Pattern by MNE Crafts. Perfect gift for a little girl especially if you know one started Pre-K/Kindergarten this Fall!

Crochet Wall Decoration from Hip Met Haken. This is such a sweet wall decoration πŸ™‚ I think I will be making a few of these for Madison’s new room. I think the neatest thing about this wall decoration is the fact that you can highlight any motif in the center of it!

New Color Plates from My World of Crochet. This is a brilliant idea! Two poster boards and some thumb nails and you can have a quick and easy hangable/visible guide for the available yarn colors. You can also use it to see which colors you have on hand by simply removing the swatches for what you don’t have – pop them on a binder ring and take them with you to the craft store to buy more! Great, great idea!

Crocheted Rose Potholder from Rusyena. This potholder not only is a beautiful little piece – take note to the actual photo. Great example for us! And this potholder is a great example of how we can use afghan squares to embellish other parts of the home.

My Lemonade Play Set from Creative Crochet Toys. This lemonade set is just adorable! It comes complete with a tea pot full of tea, and lemon wedges to garnish. Too cute! And perfect for the upcoming summer.

My Philosopher Favorite:

It’s no wonder to me that this is one of the Popular Posts from The Philosopher’s Wife. Free Pattern included to make An Easy Scalloped Headband! Since I cut my hair, I have been using a lot more hair accessories. This one is going on the list!

This Week’s Giveaway… Well, sorry to say there isn’t one this week. We are currently looking for Giveaway Sponsors. Do you sell patterns, yarn or yarn related items? Would you like to have your shop and/or blog highlighted? Just send an email to Rachel of The Philosopher’s Wife letting her know that you are interested and she will get all the details worked out. We thank you for your participation and support!

Join the Party!

The Yarn Fanatic Party will begin every Monday afternoon, and run through Sunday night. You have all week and weekend to post your fantastic yarn related projects!

Please share projects that are family friendly, and YARN RELATED; ie Crochet, Knit, with an extension to include Cross Stitch, Needlepoint on Plastic Canvas and Embroidery.
Also make sure you are linking up to your blog post, and just just your blog’s home page.

Welcome!

Welcome!

Hey! I'm Alexandra, the blogger and creator behind EyeLoveKnots and On Rockwood Lane! My passion is being creative. My favorite thing to do is crochet, and you will almost always find me having a cup of coffee and working on a new crochet project, but when I'm not doing that, you might find me out at a local park rollerblading, baking some fresh cookies, picking veggies in the garden orΒ re-decorating for a new season or holiday. My two cats are great supervisors for all my adventures (minus the being outside because they think it's too hot in Florida to be anywhere but inside), and make sure I take plenty of breaks.
