Welcome to the 53rd Yarn Fanatic Link Party, and my 36th as co-host, alongside Rachel from The Philosopher’s Wife.
Since our last Yarn Fanatic Party, I have been chugging away on a few projects. Before I get into them, I would like to apologize for not reposting the yarn party the previous Mondays. One of my favorite things is getting the yarn party post ready every week and showcasing all of your lovely projects. I also like having the ability to use it to connect with you all. I have been busy moving though, and quite distracted. Selling a house, and moving all of the stuff out it hard work and so time consuming. 16 years spent in one house, I am sure you can just imagine all of the junk that’s been collected over the years. I will have a little more to share on this with you at a later date, should you be interested in reading my story. Enough excuses, now onto my yarny projects in order of posting.
Most Clicked:
Fall is Here Crochet Skirt from Van Dani – Crochet Inspiration. I would say I spend a big part of my Pinteresting looking at women’s clothing and tablescapes. This skirt is definitely one that would catch my eye, and is a great inspiration piece! Though there isn’t a pattern included, looking at the photos it seems pretty simple to work out. I will be returning to this piece.
Big in Japan from Van Dani – Link to Crochet Pattern Included. I just love the charcoal color paired with the mint colored yarn in this Shawl. Paired with the matching hat and floral embellishment, I am sure this will be a very well received gift this holiday season.
Diamond Cowl from Wife, Mummy, Nurse – Link to Knitting Pattern Included. This cowl is so pretty! I really like the look of filet-like projects in reference to the diamond pattern creating this cowl. According to Sarah, the pattern is fairly easy. I think I will be adding it to my When I Learn to Knit board, which I think I am actually getting closer to going through.
Pouring Your Heart into a Pattern from Crochet Is the Way – Crochet & Life Inspiration. This is such a touching piece from one of our regulars here at the Yarn Fanatic Party. If you haven’t been over to visit the Crochet is the Way blog, you definitely should! Jenny has such great projects she shares, and even better stories like the one shared in this post. Pop on by and share your support please!
EyeLoveKnots Yarn Favorites:
Ballet Leg Warmers from Muff’in Dome – Link to Free Knitting Pattern Included. It’s always nice to ‘hear’ from new fellow yarn crafters. I really enjoyed scrolling down and seeing the photos of these leg warmers in use, and through the most recent blog posts in general from Muff’in Dome. Though they are not yarn related, it’s refreshing and fun. Welcome Laurel! And thanks for sharing with us! Aside from that, I know a couple little girls who would love to receive some of these this holiday season to go with their dancing outfits π
Cuatro Esquinas de Abuela Afghan Square from Shelf Reading – Link to Free Crochet Pattern Included. Call me biased, but I could not help showcasing someone else’s version of one of my own crochet patterns! It came out really well in the three colors, and I really like the look of the slip stitches around the edges. I like how clean slip stitches make projects look, but it’s so hard going back and working into them later so I don’t usually use them, but it frames the square nicely.
Red Wine Shawl from Atelier Marie-Lucienne – Crochet Inspiration. This is a great example of how things usually work themselves out even when we think they won’t! In yarn terms, no need to frog that project or stick it with the rest of the lost WIPS because you ran out of the color, experiment with new colors! I am sure Marjan never thought she’d combine the lime green and pink with the claret, but it came together to create a really pretty shawl.

Thank you for featuring my blanket and curtain as 'yarn favorites'! xxx
Ooo, my favorite in the Rainy Apple Shoppe is the Cinderella sock yarn. It matches my blog theme!
Thank you for your kind words about my post and the blog. It means a lot to me!
