Super Easy S’mores Brownies

March 4, 2020

This is a recipe to make some Super Easy S’mores Brownies!

This post contains affiliate links for Amazon. If you make a purchase by clicking on them, I make a small commission at no extra cost to you. Thanks for your support!

One of the things on my 2019 New Years Resolution List was to “Finish More Projects”. Some may have wondered what I meant by this, and it wasn’t necessarily to do more than last year, but rather, complete things like WIPs (works-in-progress), drafts (I have a lot!), and edit photos that have been sitting around waiting for a post to be done.

I first made these brownies back in July of 2017, and that’s when these photos were taken (I have since made these brownies a couple more times because… well, does one need a reason to make more brownies? Hehe.) It’s been on my list for a while now to write up a post for them, and finally, they are making their appearance, and I can cross this one off the list (feels good to cross something off, doesn’t it?)

Brownies are something we loovvee at my house. When we find ourselves craving something sweet, we usually reach for a box of brownie mix. Such an easy sweet treat to whip up, and these Hershey’s S’Mores Baking Pieces are just the perfect added little touch to change it up a little, and still allow it to fall into an easy sweet treat.

I found my baking pieces at my local Winn-Dixie, and have my pantry stocked. They are the perfect little touch to add to anything – I have made cookies with them, added them to my waffle mix, used them to decorate the tops of cupcakes, and even just snacked on the mix itself. I think the baking pieces are a seasonal thing, so if you can’t find them, you can always put together your own little mixture.

Makes:

16, 2″ Brownies

Baking Time:

10 Minutes to Prep (or Less) + about 45 Minutes to Bake

Ingredients:

  • 1 Box of Brownie Mix – I used Ghiradelli’s Double Chocolate (or pack of 12 available here)
  • Vegetable Oil (as called for on box)
  • Water (as called for on box)
  • 1 Egg (as called for on box)
  • 1/2 Bag of Hershey’s S’Mores Baking Pieces – I found at my local Winn Dixie

You’ll Also Need:

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Mixer/Spoon/Spatula for Mixing Ingredients
  • Measuring Cup and Spoons
  • Pam, or Butter and Flour
  • 8″ x 8″ Baking Pan (or 9″ x 9″ will work too!)
  • Optional, Aluminum Foil

Ingredient Notes:

Foil: I love to use foil when I am baking because it allows for an easy clean up, but in this case, it is also easy to just pick the foil up, and pull the whole thing out of the pan for easy cutting.

S’Mores Baking Pieces: I love this bag! I have a few in my pantry, and I have made several things using them – it’s so convenient. The little bag contains chocolate chips, small marshmallows, and little squares of graham cracker pieces. If you can’t find the bag in your baking aisle, you could always create your own little mixture.

Recipe:

Step 1: Preheat oven – in my case, to 325 F, and prep pan.

Step 2: Mix Ingredients together as instructed on the box.

Step 3: Spread mixture into baking pan.

Step 4: Sprinkle the top of the mixture with Hershey’s S’mores Baking Pieces.

Step 5: Bake as directed on your box – I think I did mine for about 45 minutes.

See! Quick and easy (and delicious) dessert for ya πŸ™‚

Yeah! They are great. I’ve used them in cookies too. The marshmallows melt, but the graham cracker pieces are so delicious!

Oh my gosh!!! I am drooling now! πŸ™‚ These sound so good but I’ve never seeing the Hershey’s S’mores mix (on the west coast). But I just picked something up similar called Rocky Road Trail Mix from Sprouts that I imagine could work!

I haven’t seen the S’mores mix in a bit. Perhaps it’s been discontinued, but that Rocky Road Trail Mix sounds awesome! Would be great on some brownies.

Hey! I'm Alexandra, the blogger and creator behind EyeLoveKnots and On Rockwood Lane! My passion is being creative. My favorite thing to do is crochet, and you will almost always find me having a cup of coffee and working on a new crochet project, but when I'm not doing that, you might find me out at a local park rollerblading, baking some fresh cookies, picking veggies in the garden orΒ re-decorating for a new season or holiday. My two cats are great supervisors for all my adventures (minus the being outside because they think it's too hot in Florida to be anywhere but inside), and make sure I take plenty of breaks.
