Yarn Fanatic Linky Party #19

January 13, 2015

This is my second week being a part of the Yarn Fanatic Linky Party, next to Rachel of the Philosopher’s Wife.

I had an idea of what needed to be done as far as promoting goes, but I didn’t realize how challenging it would be to find yarn specific projects. This just goes to show that I need to step up my game on creating a variety of yarn projects, and challenge all EyeLoveKnots readers to take the challenge!

Last week, I worked on some Slanted Shell Mug Cozy and Coaster Gift Sets to give to my co-worker’s for the Three King’s Day holiday – a widely celebrated holiday in the Hispanic community. You can read more about it, and the assembly of this gift in my Gift Set post.

From this Gift Set, sprung two free crochet patterns: 1) Slanted Shell Mug Cozy; 2) Slanted Shell Square Coasters.

1) Slanted Shell Mug Cozy
2) Slanted Shell Square Coasters

I was so excited with the number of yarn projects linked up to last week’s Yarn Fanatic Party #18. Thank you for sharing all your fantastic yarn ideas and projects.

The Most Clicked Projects:

From Left to Right:

The Crochet Chevron Scarf from Lizzie Bella Blog. I really love this infinity scarf. I had been looking at it prior to it being linked up, and already decided that I will be making one of my own. I also love the color choice – a combination that I haven’t used before, but just may have to start.

The Leaping Stripes and Blocks Beanie from Moogly Blog. This is a beanie I have had pinned for a while now. So many projects, so little time!
This pattern is great though, because it is available in Baby, Toddler, Child, Teen/Small Adult and Large Adult sizes, and is made with Double Crochet’s and worsted weight yarn.
Peaches and Cream Doll Suit from Tess and Annie. Even as an adult, I still love dolls. Now, it’s not so much playing with them but admiring them. I also have it in my head that I want to build a dollhouse – similar to a miniature’s home.
This Peaches and Cream doll Suit is just beautiful. Free pattern includes instructions for the dress, jacket, hair piece and jewelry.

My Yarn Favorite:
There were sooo many other wonderful projects too! I wish I could feature them all. I think the one at the top of my list of things to try though, is the Cathedral Convertible Cowl by Lorene of Cre8tion Crochet. I LOVE the textured-ness, and the oodles of way this cowl can be worn! Just visit her post to see some suggestions.

My Philosopher Favorite:

My Philosopher Favorite this week is the Three Little Kitty Dolls. They are just too cute! Any little girl would be happy to carry one of these around.

This Weeks Giveaway is a prize from Jonna of Frayed Knot. I haven’t been a fan very long, as I just discovered Jonna when the NICU 12 Hat Challenge begun back in November. She happened to be a featured designer in the challenge and I fell in love with her Ultimate Hat. I’ve since become a subscriber so I don’t miss out on any of her posts, and added Jonna Ventura to my Ravelry faves – you should too!

You must be 18 years or older, and a US resident to enter. Void where prohibited. Winner will be notified by email by The Philosopher’s Wife and have 48 hours to respond, or a new winner will be drawn.

Also make sure to check your emails – Rachel did send over the email to the winner this morning. She has 48 hours to respond!

The rule is simple – please share projects that are family friendly.
