Berry Blast Small Photo Prop Basket Filler – Free Crochet Pattern

February 12, 2015

Last year, I worked up two of these Small Mini Photo Basket Fillers with this gorgeous Berry Blast colorway after I found it on clearance at Hobby Lobby. Because it was after Valentine’s Day, I decided to hold off on sharing the project. But now, it’s just in time to fit in with my 14 Day Valentine Craft Challenge.

These Small Photo Prop Basket Fillers are great for hanging off the side of a basket or bin with baby leaning on, as well as on the top of some layering blankets.

*Make sure to tune back in tomorrow to learn how to add a beautiful feminine shell border to make this perfect for any little girl!
*If you missed my post from yesterday, make sure to check out my Berry Blast Mini Photo Blanket – Free Crochet Pattern!

Materials:
     – Less than 50 yards of Bulky/Chunky (5) Yarn – I used Deborah Norville’s Serenity Chunky Weight Yarn in Berry Burst
     – L11/8mm Crochet Hook
     – #18 Tapestry Needle for Weaving in Ends

Material Notes:
Alternative to one strand of chunky yarn, you can hold two strands of worsted weight yarn together.

Time Spent:
I was able to complete this basket filler in about 25 minutes.

Abbreviations:
     DC – Double Crochet

Measurements:
     8.5″ Wide x 12″ in Length

Gauge:
     7 DCs x 4 rows = 3″ Square. [Optional] Border adds 1″ to total.

Pattern Notes:
I did not add a border to my blanket, but if you would like to, reduce your beginning chain by 3 stitches, work one less row and add a single crochet border. The mini blanket will come out to be the same size.

 Pattern:
Chain 23. DC into the 4th chain, and into each chain across. (21 DC)

R2 – 16: Chain 2, turn. DC into the 2nd DC, and into each DC across. (21 DC)

Fasten Off, and Weave in Ends.

Please feel free to make and sell this basket filler, but please DO NOT claim this pattern as your own nor should you sell my pattern, and DO NOT re-publish my photos as your own. DO NOT copy and paste my pattern anywhere, please link to it instead.

*If you would like a PDF version of this post, you may get one through my Etsy shop for a small fee. This fee is to compensate for the view/s lost once you no longer need to return to the blog for the information, as you will have your own copy. Plus! It helps fund supplies for new projects to share with you!

Welcome!

Welcome!

Hey! I'm Alexandra, the blogger and creator behind EyeLoveKnots and On Rockwood Lane! My passion is being creative. My favorite thing to do is crochet, and you will almost always find me having a cup of coffee and working on a new crochet project, but when I'm not doing that, you might find me out at a local park rollerblading, baking some fresh cookies, picking veggies in the garden or re-decorating for a new season or holiday. My two cats are great supervisors for all my adventures (minus the being outside because they think it's too hot in Florida to be anywhere but inside), and make sure I take plenty of breaks.
