In a hurry? Pin this for later when you have more time!

May is Bladder Cancer Awareness Month, and the color ribbon for that is Orange.

My Grandpa passed away a couple years ago from Bladder Cancer so this hits close to home for me. Did you know that 90% of those diagnosed with Bladder Cancer are over 55? Men are also 3x more likely to develop Bladder Cancer than women.

In honor of my Grandpa, those affected by Bladder Cancer and Bladder Cancer Awareness Month, I thought I’d put together a collection of free crochet patterns that feature the color orange. You’ll find coasters, afghans, wall hangings, stuffies and more!

Huge thank you to Jessica of Nice and Knotty for helping out behind the scenes with this awesome collection of free crochet patterns! Team work really does make the dream work guys, and we have such a great team here at EyeLoveKnots and over on my sister blog Cre8tion Crochet.

This project uses a couple different sizes and weights for all of the details, but the main portion uses Worsted Weight #4 Yarn – WeCrochet Wool of the Andes. The belly combines Aloft Super Kid Mohair with it, which is a Lace Weight #0 Yarn to add a little bit of that furry look – you can easily leave it out if you don’t have it or don’t want to use it, or substitute it with another similar yarn you might have in your stash. The eyes are worked in WeCrochet Twill Fingering, which is a Fingering Weight #1 Yarn – you can easily substitute with an embroidery floss, create your own felt eyes or use safety eyes. Lots of fun options, but the details are really what makes this little guy that much more adorable!
