Spooky season is nearly here, and I am ready! Normally around this time, I am crocheting a new patch of pumpkins for my mantle, but I wanted to do something a little different this year. I came across this skull pattern and I knew it would be the perfect addition to my lineup!

Rustic Pumpkin Garland – Crochet Pattern Review
Pumpkins are, of course, the unofficial mascot for fall so I had to kick off the crochet season with them. I have already done traditional, stand alone pumpkins and I love to decorate my fireplace area with fall decor. When I saw this pumpkin garland, I knew this was the piece that my mantle was missing. I went through and made the garland but you could make just the cute little pumpkins and use them as decor, fill a basket or bowl with them, line your window sills…the list goes on.

World of Stars Yoga Mat Bag – Crochet Pattern Review
After I had my son last fall, I’ve found that my flexibility is nothing like it used to be before him. And that wasn’t even that great, I’ve never been the most athletic person. I try to take care of my body but I’m not very consistent about exercising. I go through phases of being decent about it but then I get busy at work and fitness just slips into the background. But our workplace now offers free fitness classes during the day, and I have time to sneak in a class once or twice a week. One of them that I’m really enjoying has been yoga! I wanted to invest a little bit in doing it myself so I bought a decent mat for myself, and of course I had to make my own bag to carry it.
Easy Granny Hexagon Cardigan – Crochet Pattern Review
I chose this pattern in particular because it was very basic and straightforward, plus it adds a really cute scalloped edge that I actually ended up skipping for my own version. I liked the look and wanted to do it, but then in the end my cardigan has a lot of color and I just thought adding that extra texture would push it a little over the edge. This pattern was very easy, and I’m grateful for that. Sometimes you need a nice simple repetitive pattern in an old familiar stitch! Granny stitch always comes in handy when you want a project that works up quickly and isn’t too heavy or stiff. It gives a good drape for wearables and is warm without being stifling.
Pacific Disc Stingray – Crochet Pattern Review
I have no good reason for making this stingray other than it is adorable! I was perusing Etsy for some new patterns when this little creature popped up on my feed and I was instantly in love! His big eyes, his squishy body and his tiny smile stole my heart and I had to make one of my own…which was then promptly confiscated by my daughter for the same irresistible reasons. Even the dog wanted him for herself!
Large Divided Dice Bag – Crochet Pattern Review
This is a very creative pattern! I appreciated the techniques used in this pattern like how to get a nice even circle without awkward corners. If you’re worried about a lot of sewing, it really isn’t as bad as it looks! You join most of the pieces together with crochet, instead of sewing with your needle. I also like that it has a fun texture on the sides of the main bag as well.
Bunny Bonnet – Crochet Pattern Review
This hat is a very fun and simple pattern. If you’re looking for a cute Easter or spring gift for a little one in your life, this is a wonderful choice. The hat I made fits my son great, looks super adorable, and fit him for several weeks which makes it one of the most cost-effective things he owns as a baby. They grow out of things far too quickly, don’t they?
