Pumpkins are, of course, the unofficial mascot for fall so I had to kick off the crochet season with them. I have already done traditional, stand alone pumpkins and I love to decorate my fireplace area with fall decor. When I saw this pumpkin garland, I knew this was the piece that my mantle was missing. I went through and made the garland but you could make just the cute little pumpkins and use them as decor, fill a basket or bowl with them, line your window sills…the list goes on.

Colour Block Granny Scarf – Crochet Pattern Review
This is a very simple pattern based on a very popular stitch. And yet it’s still something I hadn’t personally seen before, and I don’t remember ever working a chevron pattern in granny stitches before! It’s always fun even after a decade in this hobby to find something new to try. It’s simple to work up once you get the technique down, and provides a lot of practice if granny stitch is something you need to work on. It can be a carefully coordinated and planned color-block project, or a stash-buster like mine where you find out what your next color is when you get there! And the finished item is warm and snuggly and will keep me cozy for years to come.
Half & Half Crochet Cardigan – Crochet Pattern Review
I was incredibly happy with the process and my results in this finished cardigan. It’s eye-catching, fun, and comfy! The pattern was simple to understand and even the sewing wasn’t hard. It just takes time to put all the squares together, but at the end, you’ll have a gorgeous cardigan to show off to the world!
Winter Wonderland Snowman – Crochet Pattern Review
Winter usually means snow and at my house, snow equals snowman. So it was a natural choice for December to make one that will last all year long! I chose this little guy because I just thought the top hat was too cute! So many patterns have snowpeople wearing beanies topped with a pouf. While they are adorable, this top hat really caught my eye so I had to make it!

They’re adorable, quite comfy and warm, and most of the designs are just a simple rectangle that you can jazz up with various stitch textures. It’s easy to see why designers (and customers!) are enjoying them.
