Easy Granny Hexagon Cardigan – Crochet Pattern Review

I chose this pattern in particular because it was very basic and straightforward, plus it adds a really cute scalloped edge that I actually ended up skipping for my own version. I liked the look and wanted to do it, but then in the end my cardigan has a lot of color and I just thought adding that extra texture would push it a little over the edge. This pattern was very easy, and I’m grateful for that. Sometimes you need a nice simple repetitive pattern in an old familiar stitch! Granny stitch always comes in handy when you want a project that works up quickly and isn’t too heavy or stiff. It gives a good drape for wearables and is warm without being stifling.

I have no good reason for making this stingray other than it is adorable! I was perusing Etsy for some new patterns when this little creature popped up on my feed and I was instantly in love! His big eyes, his squishy body and his tiny smile stole my heart and I had to make one of my own…which was then promptly confiscated by my daughter for the same irresistible reasons.
