Valentine’s Day Conversation Hearts on Elastic Headband – Inspiration

December 27, 2013

I made this headband about two years ago to wear on Valentine’s Day. It is an Alexandra original.  The hearts are made of yarn and plastic canvas and then hot glued onto an orange ouchless hair band. The hearts read “I <3 U”; “BE MINE”; and “X’S + O’S”. This three pumpkin headband is also an… Read more

Roaring Twenties Inspired Beanie with Posy Flower Embellishment – Pattern Review

December 22, 2013

This embellished beanie pattern was courtesy of Lion Brand Yarns. It is Gatsby-era inspired from the Roaring Twenties. Looking at it, I definitely see the flapper style. Flapper being a new breed of young Western women in the 1920’s. They cut their long beautiful hair down to cute little bobs, hiked up their hemlines, and… Read more

Snowflake Nails! 2012 vs 2013

December 9, 2013

I absolutely love to paint my nails, and get them painted. Red Snowflakes professionally done.  Did these on my own. Think I did a pretty good job. 🙂 (Minus the bow fail on my middle finger. Hehe.)

Gingerbread Man (or Woman) Hat Fingerless Glove Set – Pattern Reviews

December 5, 2013

This super cute pattern was courtesy of Sarah at Repeat Crafter Me.  I chose to use Deborah Norville’s Everyday Soft yarns in Chocolate (1 ball = 2 hats), Really Red (very small amount), and White (also very small amount), and La Mode 7/8″ Black Buttons (which I got on sale at Joann’s – BOGO!)  I made… Read more

Crochet Blue Winter Hat and Scarf – Pattern Review

November 27, 2013

Second Winter Hat and Scarf completed!   This pattern is courtesy of favecrafts. It was very easy to follow – good for a beginner.   My choice of yarn was the Premier Yarns Deborah Norville Collection in the color Cirrus – chunky, self striping yarn of blues mixed with white. I do really like the Bernat… Read more

Super T Set – Pattern Review

November 21, 2013

When I made the Pretty Purple Set for Madison, I had to make something for Tyler too. My cousin, Tiffany, suggested a cape. At first, I thought sewing a cape would be easier and less time consuming. (I have this really great idea for a cute cape in my head, but that’s for a later… Read more

Pretty Purple Crochet Set – Inspiration

November 21, 2013

I started crocheting a halter top for myself when I thought how cute it would look as a dress for my little cousin, Madison. So I switched up a few things here and there but felt super accomplished with my finished product. If it hadn’t taken so long, I probably would have turned around and… Read more
