This cowl has so much surface area that it easily covers your neck and would even cover an open neckline of a shirt. It would be great for spring or fall, as well as for relatively mild winter days. And I know this pattern looks complicated, but trust me that the actual stitches are simple!

Twisted Hoody Poncho – Crochet Pattern Review
The result was something that will certainly become my favorite fall accessory. It’s warm, but not heavy. The hood is nice to block out a breeze but loose enough that it’s not constricting. And the little accents like fringe and tassels totally elevate this from a basic poncho to a stylish conversation starter. Pistachio Poncho – Crochet Pattern Review
This pattern was very easy to follow. The cowl and the body are both in a simple repetitive pattern comprised of easy half double crochets, chains and double crochets, and worked from top down, it makes it very easy to try on as you go to make sure it fits just the way you like. I had trouble meeting gauge, and was able to adjust how I needed to make it fit, but if gauge is met, there is no doubt in my mind that this project wouldn’t be great for a confident beginner.
