My sister-in-law sends me crochet inspiration from time to time and this sunflower scrunchie was the latest one she sent. Once I saw it, I knew I needed to make it for my daughter. It is so simple but adds such a cute touch to updos. I love the pop of color along with the flash of fun that it brings to an otherwise normal bun.

Bucket Bag – Crochet Pattern Review
The majority of this bag is a simple single crochet, so it makes it an easy process when you get going. Once you finish the increases, there’s barely any counting either so it’s great to go with a good show or movie. I thoroughly enjoyed this project! I hope to bring it on my family adventures, like when I took these pictures at a local cider mill.
Mini Manatee – Crochet Pattern Review
The Mini Manatee pattern by Crafty Kat Shop is a really low-sew crochet pattern that works up quickly and can be made in a variety of different sizes and weights of yarn. The pattern features an extensive amount of details to help you make an adorable finished product. I am really excited about adding these finished manatees to my summer market inventory, and I think they are going to be a big hit!
Pencil Gift Pocket – Crochet Pattern Review
This pencil gift pocket is so cute and just perfect for stuffing with gift cards or small goodies like Chapstick, hand sanitizer or chocolates. It is so simple to make but the impact is spot-on. Plus, it’s reusable!
Easy Granny Hexagon Cardigan – Crochet Pattern Review
I chose this pattern in particular because it was very basic and straightforward, plus it adds a really cute scalloped edge that I actually ended up skipping for my own version. I liked the look and wanted to do it, but then in the end my cardigan has a lot of color and I just thought adding that extra texture would push it a little over the edge. This pattern was very easy, and I’m grateful for that. Sometimes you need a nice simple repetitive pattern in an old familiar stitch! Granny stitch always comes in handy when you want a project that works up quickly and isn’t too heavy or stiff. It gives a good drape for wearables and is warm without being stifling.
Florina the Flower Fidget – Crochet Pattern Review
The Florina the Flower Fidget by Hooks and Whisks is a no-sew pattern that makes a daisy-like flower with petals that “pop” in and out like the popular fidget toys that are sold in stores. This pattern works up really quickly and uses limited supplies, which makes it perfect for market-prepping or last-minute gifts. These flowers would also be great for gifts for teachers with Teacher Appreciation Week right around the corner! I highly recommend you try out this adorable pattern!
Pacific Disc Stingray – Crochet Pattern Review
I have no good reason for making this stingray other than it is adorable! I was perusing Etsy for some new patterns when this little creature popped up on my feed and I was instantly in love! His big eyes, his squishy body and his tiny smile stole my heart and I had to make one of my own…which was then promptly confiscated by my daughter for the same irresistible reasons. Even the dog wanted him for herself!
Large Divided Dice Bag – Crochet Pattern Review
This is a very creative pattern! I appreciated the techniques used in this pattern like how to get a nice even circle without awkward corners. If you’re worried about a lot of sewing, it really isn’t as bad as it looks! You join most of the pieces together with crochet, instead of sewing with your needle. I also like that it has a fun texture on the sides of the main bag as well.
Snow the Duck – Crochet Pattern Review
The Snow the Duck pattern is a relatively easy, almost no-sew pattern that works up quickly. It can be made with varying weights of yarn for differing sizes of ducks, and the finished product is absolutely adorable. The pattern features an optional headband that raises the level of cuteness for this little squishy duck to new levels. If you are in spring market-prep mode or just want to make one of these for a duck-lover that you know, I would highly recommend you try out this pattern.
Bobble Pop Fidget Toy – Crochet Pattern Review
Fidget toys are nothing new. But when I came across this, I was drawn to it for a couple specific reasons: when the bobbles “pop” it is quiet. I know that the satisfying popping sound can be part of the allure to the traditional toys. But when the kids (or grown-ups, if we are being honest) need something to tinker with but sound isn’t appropriate, this is an excellent alternative. I also like that it has a different texture than smooth silicone. It’s still soft yet coarse; great for those with sensory-seeking needs.
