Mountain Landscape Wall Hanging – Crochet Pattern Review
The techniques were easy to understand, and the tips were helpful when I remembered to do them. It took a while but each row itself went pretty quickly. The color layout was genius and gives a very impactful piece. The fringe is a genius addition, I wouldn’t have thought to add that myself but it really adds that final punch to the overall look. I think this ended up being a great reintroduction to tapestry crochet and it actually left me wanting to do more! I think artsy wall hangings done in tapestry crochet are going to be very on-trend throughout this coming fall and winter, and I look forward to trying as many of them as I can!
Texture Block Cowl – Crochet Pattern Review
I can’t praise the texture enough. I’ve always been a fan of post stitches, as soon as I got familiar enough with them to like doing it (I used to hate them as a beginner and now I’m doing designs with them!) It gives you such an impressive look with a very approachable technique. That’s actually why I clicked on this pattern on Ravelry in the first place, the texture.
Meadow Cup Cozy – Crochet Pattern Review
If you are looking to make quick gifts, prep for a market, or bust your yarn stash, this is the perfect pattern for you. It works up really quickly and makes for a super-practical gift that can easily be dressed up with a reusable coffee cup, a packet of hot cocoa, or a gift card. If you are selling at markets, this cup cozy is sure to be a hit for buyers looking for stocking stuffers at the holidays.
Berry Beautiful Pumpkin – Crochet Pattern Review
I love the bobble-type texture on the sides of this pumpkin, giving it a really fun aesthetic.
Peace Sign Afghan Square – Crochet Pattern Review
This pattern was fun to work up. You can see the peace sign coming together the whole time, and there are so many color options and a variety of projects you can create with your afghan square. The pattern is written well, is easy to follow and there is even a video tutorial available.
Granny Poncho – Crochet Pattern Review
This is a crochet pattern review for a classic, retro granny square poncho found during Leisure Art’s 50th Anniversary sale. Once I got things figured out, the whole project flew by, and I loved the process!
Twisted Hoody Poncho – Crochet Pattern Review
The result was something that will certainly become my favorite fall accessory. It’s warm, but not heavy. The hood is nice to block out a breeze but loose enough that it’s not constricting. And the little accents like fringe and tassels totally elevate this from a basic poncho to a stylish conversation starter. I think I’ll enjoy tossing this over a t-shirt during that transition time period where you need just a little something in the early mornings or the chilly late evenings.
Daphne the Dolphin – Crochet Pattern Review
I set off to look for a cute dolphin pattern on Etsy. I was assuming that I was going to have to alter a pattern to make the stuffed toy the size I wanted, but I was so excited to find the Daphne the Dolphin pattern by Theresa’s Crochet Shop! The pictures of the dolphin were adorable and looked like it would make the perfect size stuffed toy. I am so glad I found this pattern. It turned out exactly how I wanted and made a wonderful gift.
DIY Fox Ears Headband – Crochet Pattern Review
My first official project for the Fall season is this headband with cute little fox ears. As a bonus, one of my nieces loves all things fox so I thought this would be a great birthday gift for her.
